Me and my girl are coming home tonight going across a pretty main drag in aurora when this black guy in a beat body maybe 84 buick regal t-type rolls up next to us were cruisin like 60 mph is a 40 so he punches the gas and i was kinda hesitant cause i think it had maybe a stageII turbo upgrade done it sounded real healthy. I haven't heard a turbo that loud in awhile so he backs down i nail it a little then back off. He nails it i punch it and start pulling on him and pretty hard. I finally let off when the speedometer is bouncing on the odometer needle so probaly about 105 i was a full length ahead of him i slowed down to turn and he goes tearing by. I was kinda disappointed cause i was about to buy a gn awhile ago and i could have sworn they were faster maybe this one just wasnt tuned right. I look over at my girl and she is like ghost white, she looks at me and and goes do the tires always squeel like that when it shifts gears. Gotta love her. and the bird too. Good night

 

Stock the 84s weren't all that fast, they were hot air (not intercooled) cars so it wasn't all that speedy. Of course once the mods start all bets are off (as usual)

 

ya the hot air turbo buicks weren't very fast stock. 15's I believe was what they ran in the 1/4. If you meet up with a 86-87 intercooled turbo regal it's a whole different story

 

wait, let me get this strait... You beat a ttype in your bird? Please, for the record, tell us the engine in your car. If the car runs 15's stock, and this car had a "stage II turbo upgrade", how in the hell did you come near this thing, much more then beat it? Please do not start this game again.... I hated when you lied before, dont start again.

 

um, even if it was a stock 84 "hot air" ttype, your v6 bird can not pull 15's on the 1/4 no matter what you tell us. i'm still waiting for those 350 turbo pics man. seriously you don't understand how stupid i will feel if and when you actually post those pictures so what have you got to lose? and also, no more excuses about having to wait for the pictures because i've seen you post many a pictures since your return, just be a man and post those pictures!

 

350 Tpi this isn't b.s. I figured i couldnt hang with him either i dont know what was going on with it although i've now found out from the other guys posting before the early ones were slow. I think where i got him was that we were already moving. My bird sucks *** off the lights or from a stop but when i'm already pulling some speed it'll take damn near anything.


I cant get any pics downloaded to my computer now because we have no more drive space. I'm going to try to sneak the software onto the computer at work so i can bring them up again. Right now i dont even have enough space to load them and put them on disk. All the pics i've posted within the last few months all had to get erased. I will get real good pics scanned at school seeing as how i'm stuck in photography class so i'll take real good ones with a decent camera. Like i said before i could careless what everyone thinks about my ride. I know what i got so i could careless. Shes getting sold anyhow so i can start building another one.

 

the 350 tpi is actually known for its low end torque and lacks in its high end power. hence why everyone suggests upgrading to a different intake system or at least porting out the stock runners base and plenum, so the fact taht you wre already moving has nothing to do with it. pictures?

 

The guy is not going to show pictures because he is lying. Just forget about him and move on because he is not worth your nor my time. What I really think he needs instead of pics of his v6, is someone to love him and make him feel like he doesn't have to lie to people on the internet to feel good.

 

Lets bring the thread back on topic. We have no idea whether this guy won or lost or whether the GN was even racing. I know of no specs for his car but there's no reason to bash him or anything without at least linking to prior threads where he caused problems.
