4.3 Liter V6???
4.3 Liter V6???
I know this doesn't pertain to camaros in particular but what cars did these monsters come in? I am looking for one for my current project car but am unsure what cars had them. Also what kind of power do the camaro v6s make stock?
Thanks for the help

My friends 87 full size chevy pickup has one, he has 33in tires on it, and its got some power.
I think the 3.1 was supposed to be about 165hp stock, somthing like that, but i'm not sure.

The 4.3 is a 90 degree engine along with the 3.8... so both require a new bell housing. In stock form the 3.8 is better suited to cars and the 4.3 to trucks... both make 200 Hp in their latest forms I believe. With a well matched cam and a full port/polish you'll probably get some slightly better gains over the 3.8...
My 3.8 Winds out to 6300 and smacks into the rev limiter without a hiccup... over 200 Hp with my simple bolt ons make this engine a far cry from the sluggish 2.8.

I hate to start a war but Id take the Buick over any cheby any day. Id go Olds then HEMI first and really throw a curve in the parts fitting plan, before chebby.
Just from them 4000lb monsters with mild 455s pulling the wheels off the ground is enough for me. And it only weight 100lbs more than a cheby 350.

oh, no, I understand entirely. It's just, I hate to see a Chevy in like a '68 Firebird. PUT A 400 IN THERE TARD!!!
I wouldn't mind a 454 in a Camaro. That's what's supposed to be in there. And yes, it's supposed to be outrun by that Firebird with the REAL Pontiac engine.
Honestly, though, I think a 383 is the way to go. same 3.75" stroke as the 354 and 400 Poncho, but without the tiny bore.
I'd take a Pontiac or Olds before a Buick... aftermarket is almost nil for Buick. Buick, Olds, and Pontiac all have 455ci engines.
I'd still stay Chevy, with a Camaro, though... just my opinion.
