New Times!

Ran the car yesterday, and it went a little faster!

.748
1.758
5.312
8.300
82.70
10.876
13.052
103.45

Okay so it is no 12 second car, but hey for the simple mods on the car it is respectable. I could have gone 12 with a short belt, but I wanted it without one, and the weather just wasnt there! Oh well no complaining, I had my best time, mph, and 60' by quite a bit.

Damn thats so close it hurts !

And to tpivette89, the mods I added were basically a breather cap for the valve cover. Other than that the car was the same and it was the different track that helped the mph and time.

As far as the seat I needed to weight in for class rules so that had to stay , but I have a few ideas for next time and it will go 12.9s, and if not next summer should see 12.5s or so!

Exhaust... cant beat a fast car that sounds good, and looks even better (which yours looks amazing, IMO). So if it were up to me, I say exhaust!

so with the breather cap mod, did you eliminate the PCV system? or did you just replace your oil cap with a breather?

man, 2 tenths and 1mph just from different tracks... i need to get to Atco FAST so i can hit 12.99

if not exhaust then id say get drag radials and a stall converter. these 2 mods dropped my 60fts from a best of 1.94 (stock everything) to 1.76. thatll give you about 4 - 5 tenths in the E/T department

BTW- and this is just my opinion, your E/T and mph do seem a little slow for what your car is (late 3rdgen 350) with full exhaust. similarly modded cars are in the high 13 sec range with mph in the very high 90s. what all have you done to the car, and what was its baseline?

Not slow, I just thought it was stock by what you said.

Yes I just replaced the cap with a breather, because the blow by is so bad I would pop the PCV! My rings are GONE, and the lifters tap alot too. All in all I am lucky the car is holding up and running this good!!!

What track did you run at, (i know you usually go to Lebanon).
I am fighting the same battle, with almost 12's at Lebanon. My
last run in sig was run at a DA of 1100 ft so corrected its very
close. I still want to see the number on my time slip not on a
correction factor in my head.

I went up to NED and the hook seemed better and the air is always better. I would suggest getting to E-town if you can, and even though I have never run there, the stories of the time difference is enough for me to head down there sometime soon! Looks like you are really close and have the mph for a 12.99. Good luck with it!
