Interesting dyno pulls
Interesting dyno pulls
I found these dyno pulls on a '96 Z28 to be pretty interesting. It is not a TPI, but a LOT of the mods performed are the same as those that we do with our TPI motors. There is a before and after for
*removal of MAF screens
*Airfoil
*bigger TB
All for a a relatively stock LT1.
I thought you guys might find it as interesting as I did.

Thanks for the posting. I found the results very interesting as you did. Looks like the MSD6 ignition is worth it. Allen

It is really important what this dyno session is showing. Things like a larger TB, Airfoil, and removed MAF screens aren't power revealing mods, until the engine is really asking for them. For example, I am sure if we threw a stock TPI L98 car onto a dyno and did the same things, we'd see more gains because we are more restricted to begin with! An LT1 intake however, is not letting the engine down at all. Also, if he were to have done these mods after say, a serious heads & cam combo, I think he would have seen far more substantial gains with those tiny mods. Its really cool someone took the time to dyno test these petty things - as most people would not waste thier bucks.
