new project car!

i bought a 1985 camaro SC. got it for $500 US. car runs great. its a 305 auto, but was origionally a standard and i am trying to find a t5 to put back in it.

i put on a set of chrome wheels that i just had lying around, and they look better than the orginal SC wheels.

for appearance mods, i am gonna take off the window louver, tint the windows, paint the taillight lines black, and...

what do you guys think of me filling up the 3 slots between the healights? i don't really like them.

so heres some before pics,

then some with the new wheels pics,

then a photoshop of what it will look like in a short time....notice i fixed that dent in the front fender..

so what do ya think? should i fill the bumper slots(see photoshop)? should i take off the louver(see photoshop)?

Thoughts...

1. Ditch the louvers and toss them up for sale on the board here. Some people like them

2. Keep the SC nose and NO GFX. It's nice to see a clean SC now and again.

3. New DS fender....der

4. Do I see the nub for the rear wiper blade on your hatch?!? After you remove the louvers, find the wiper arm and but it back on there. There pretty rare and cool if you ask me.

5. Tint is a must, of course, and tint the tails till you can get some grids.

Yea I want the louvers.
I have the 3 piece and I love the single piece molded ones liek yours that aren't really close together. PM me or something when you decide to get rid of em and what you'd want for them and shipping thanks.

I never thought the slits on the nose looked that bad but looking at it from dead front shot the slits look like a mustache, lol the 4 slits on my nose look like wiskers hehe. Looks like an interesting project, I don't see too many scs anymore.

i'd take everything off off it, make it light as possible, go with a tubular frame and make it a drag car

I think you should fill the slots in the nose simply because I've never seen it done and I always wondered if anyone has done it.

You could possibly be the only one on TGO with that mod. Also-- don't fix that fender- replace it. Fenders are cheap.

Filling the holes would make it look just about identical to the 82-84 style bumpers w/o em and simial accept for the lower spoiler piece on the later models. not sport coupes though all the others and not berlinettas

hahah, right on. even though they kinda clutter the hatch a little, they are a neat and rare option on our cars.... my dad's soon-to-be iroc has one
