MAF tuning beginer question
I've used CM software for datalogging on my 89 IROC ($6E '165)and i'm trying to figure out where to start first. From what i understand i want to start with fuel and to dial in 128 at all the BLM Cell #'s?
At idle with BLM Cell 0 i pulled the following stats:
BLM 156
INT ~128
LV8 39-42
MAF Rate 5.4-5.7
If i understand correcly, i'm running lean at idle and the ecm is compensating. Now for the newbie question...What tables should i modify to get my BLM near 128? and what changes should i make based on these numbers?
Thanks in advance

I saw a recent post stating that i should use the MAF tables to get 128 BLM. After severl chips, I got my BLM at idle to 129. Of course, I'm not sure if I changed too much. I just tried to keep the MAF Table graph smooth.
Did I do this right?

What are your mods? Got a bigger cam?
Before you start tuning just idle you need to see what your cruise BLMs are.
You need to lay a little more information on the table.

Thanks
My cruise BLM's were around 131-138. No engine mods, but it was rebuilt last year. Just intake/exhaust upgrades.
My question was more geared to 'what table do i change to modify fuel'. After the post I read that I change MAF tables or scalars.
Do do I just follow what i did (slowly modify MAF tables to change the BLM) for the rest of the BLM cell #'s ?

Wellwhat is the reality of the situation? 6e code is notorious for runnning rich at idle, your BLM is what, 158, right? But is it actually rich, meaning that raw air is hitting the O2 sensor? What does your nose tell you?
It seems that you are being compensated for lean throughout.
What is your fuel pressure set at? I would start out by bumping it up a few psi and getting new data.
You dont ever really want to narrow down the way you solve problems to only 1 table in the chip or 1 method in general, always keep an open mind and think outside the box.
There is so much that goes on that your need to be a big picture kind of thinker and keep a bunch of options on the table when ever possible.
Know what I mean?

Yea, i get it. I'm running lean all over I should check my fuel pressure. i'll bump the afpr up some tomorrow and see if that evens it out.
Thanks!
Thanks!
