I went to the Hot Rod Power Tour today in Tulsa. The place was packed with lots of badass cars. Here are some pics of the thirdgens in attendance. Enjoy.

Well I dont recall offhand, but I checked my original 2304 x 1728 pics, and sure enough I could read the sizes.

damn all those cars look sweet. The last blue rs and the red Z are pimp!

 

The rs was like a chrome purple color..the picture makes it look blue..Ya me and Quick6 had fun.

i saw some dubs, i dunno about a thirdgen rollin on dubs. 20's are a little big. But it does give it a different look.

I wonder if that four point STB would be any better than a three point STB like you would get from BMR or Edelbrock...

I don't chime in much, but that chrome purple camaro is gorgeous. Clean, well done, and didn't try to do anything "look at me." Probably the best stock in appearence (besides stealth ram) I've ever seen. The last one doesnt do anything for me, but few camaro's do.

Also, the all black Formula is sharp, sorta reminds me of formul8's.

If you look really close, you can see the stripes on the truck of the blue camaro also, that must be a RamJet 350 in there...COOL.

That blueish/purplish Camaro needs a new choice for engine color. Otherwise it's outstanding.

 

I see his hood struts are crap too, I don't feel so bad Those cars are great, looks like I have to get back to work.

 

That STB is nice. Someone here should start cranking those out.

Love the painted camaro emblem on the cowl hood. Sweet.

That car is very well executed. Those rims sit perfect!
And did you see how small those 12 inch Baer brakes looked behind those massive 20 inch rims...hehehe.

I also like the engine bay of that car...very clean and simple!

That last Camaro is my favorite too. Looks like those cars in very excellent shape. Its depressing knowing that you have such a long way to get any where close to that clean.

 

Those are some pretty sick looking third gens....give me something to strive for....who knows if i will ever get there but its a dream....

 

Actually, his hood struts are missing. I'd wager that aftermarket hood isn't designed to bear all that weight on the hinge points.

 

sure it is, my ss hood has no problems.....he just doesn't have them for whatever reason...

the purple/blue/whatever color RS with licenses number CTM681 appears to have a pro am trans am scoop molded to its hood.

nevermind, on closer inspection its an SS hood

I saw the car on the first day of Power Tour in Arlington and almost messed myself.

Very clean car.

Where's mine? I mistakenly parked with the long haulers in Tulsa, but I was a row or so away from the painless wiring booth/cars. So far so good, just meet a few people from team3rdgen tonight, two were caged formulas

The purple car is a very, very clean car, I don't care for the neon grean block and heads, but it def. draws some attention. The red one w/ 19's and 20's is also awesome. I've never been a fan of big rims on our cars, but on that car it just works right. The Grey car with the Red, white, and blue stripes is another very clean car... makes me want to repaint my engine bay. The owner is a cool guy too, he's a member on this site I guess. He has a carbed zz4 w/ a hotcam and a lot of other very nice parts.

I'll have to post some more pics when I get home and I'm not on a computer at a holiday inn.

 

Oh and the IROC 'vert in the first post is still rolling on original factory gatorbacks Only has 20,000 actuall miles on it!

This guy was really nice and was quit nice to talk to. His camaro has a Harwood 3" hood with over 40 HOURS OF BODY WORK alone on the hood!!!


This was one tricked out Camaro.

I saw most of the other cars you had pictures of too. I just can't get over how AWSOME the Power Tour was!

 

Did they take a 30 hour break for the holidays......

 

yeah.. how does one put 40 hours of work into a hood?

i could build one from scrap in less time.

It's called, getting it perfect. With a fiberglass hood, all the fitting, shaving, blocking...40 hours would not be a stretch if it was perfect.
I caught the Power Tour in St. Louis last night...DAM, it was awesome.

that red one rocks! But since this is the appearance forum and i call myself an app. and det. expert, i have to say that the stance is not perfect. In the back its as good as it may get, but somehow the non-existent wheel gap conflicts with the gap in the front.
