composit TPI plenum
what are the stock LS1 intakes made from?
i was brousing ebay last week and saw a TPI plenum that was made from composit just like the LS1 intakes. it was a dead on match for an aluminum stock one. it was black and had 3 initials "MRP" or somthing on it. seller never answered my emails and it was sold in 3 days.
i was wondering if anyone had heard or makes composit plenums and runners? those runners and plenums get soo hot its a wonder any one bothers with all the "cold air intake" stuff if the plenum and runners are soo hot to begin with.

That MRP plenum has had a Few owners in the past all from the boards. Im guessing you were looking at J's Add selling it.
MPR is still around but not well heard of. They stoped making that Plastic Plenum,Runners and TB long time ago.

eventually each owner moved on because they were going to use nitrous (plastic intake +nitrous backfire = bad) or because they were going to a better intake like the HSR or SR.
it actually worked pretty good... from what everyone said, the plenum and throttle body were "cool" and could easily be touched, while the stock one would have gotten hot enough to burn you...
