Cruisin' Times Magazine --Feature Story --Hou. Area Thirdgen.org!!!

After recently getting a subscription , and trading a few e-mails to the editor, telling him about the Houston Area Thirdgen.org, the web site, activities in general:

THEY WANT TO DO A FEATURE STORY (POSSIBLY A COVER SHOT) ABOUT US!!!

I have informed them about our monthlys as well as our Annual BIG Meets. In another e-mail we had agreeded that the best time for them to do it, would be at one of the big meets, because of a larger expected turnout.

Now all we gotta do is get our act together! WE need to nail down a date for the BIG meet we have been discussing, as well as all the plans that go along with it.

And we need a big turnout! The biggest we have ever had!

Below is a copy of a recent e-mail from them. The Karen Peach that is referred to is the person that actually goes out and does all the pics and interviews.

Cool. Nail down the date, post it up, and I'll make sure it is an official ATGO meet as well, hopefully we can bring about 8 cars.

Ok, if you only want Houston people we will stay at home.

Not like there is such thing as a Houston Area Thirdgen anyways, just a Thirdgen.org regional group which includes all of the South central US, unless I'm missing the Houston Area Thirdgen's website....

Well, in this case, I might think about keeping the contempo and getting it ready before this.

Yeah, it's still on. I talked to Karen Peach--the lady who actually writes the articles. In fact, I meet her at the car show at 2094 + 146. She had an El Camino that was really nice!

Not sure she will actually make the Fall Brawl--wants us to take a few pics-- as well as, put together a little history of Thirdgen.org, and about the local activities like the monthlys, the annual meets--complete report form the drag strip Fri night Houston's Fastest Thirdgenner, etc. She said she looks in on the board every now and then, just to get the general feel of what's going on, and will write the feature from all that--still a possibility she may make the meet--said she would let me know as times gets closer.

Since she did not make it to the meet, it is on my shoulders to basically write (or at least supply all the info and pics) to her and she will submit it to the mag. When i get some time after the holidays I will try to get his done.
