Found something cool on a bike ride...

I have to ride down a road that has nothing but mechanics, auto body shops, and graphics shops to get to my trail. Anyway, on the way to the trail this afternoon, I see the beautiful bumper of a Pontiac third gen. On the way home, I poked around cuz the door was open and the owner's brother let me see the car and told me what he knew:

It's obviously a work in progress but he is getting close with it. The best part so far was the engine bay: 383 Stroker with many upgrades including a custom 3 inch exhaust and Z28 tips. The suspension looked beefy and readt to go.

The best part was the interior. He added a 6 speed manual transmission. Very nice performance package that I'm guessing will be out of paint in under a month or so.

His doors had been redone I think b/c there was absolutely no sag in doors an the interior looked really good. Since this just happened this afternoon, I send the dude the pics I took of his car and invited him to the forum. It turns out he is a Design and Graphics Specialist (think cars).

Really nice car... maybe he'll show up here and provde details.

Looks really clean.
Makes mine look dirty!
Looks like an '89. How many miles were on it Mike?
I see the steering wheel controls, but I see he has the older map pocket that says Trans Am.
Wonder what else is modified on it.
I see headers, slp cai, what intake is that?

Yep... it is an '89.

Since the shop is right on my way home every day, I'll keep an eye open for them when I go by. If they are there, I will stop and talk to the owner. His brother was very cool and I am sure he'll be glad to talk about the car. It is sweet.

Got me there. What I liked best was the whole idea of that car with that engine with a 6 speed manual sitting in the console. I would pay to test drive that car.

~sigh~

Based on where the fuel injectors are, it looks like a modified LT1 intake, probably with a TPIS throttle body. Nice, nonetheless.
