Frustrating yes, but now you have your excuse to go bigger....blowing up motors is the best excuse to spend more money

Ya had a good run with that beast and had it running good though

That is so evil , I can't wait till I get to that point.

mw66nova, since you hauled *** with your 305-310 motor, think what you can do with a 350 or even better, a 383 !!!

If I ever make it to a 632, it will be time to give up racing. Just think how many mortgage payments I could have made if I didn't have the race car.

Exactly why I'm taking next year off and am thankful the motor let go. Adding up what I spent getting the car to this point, cost of operations throughout a season....yeah, the new house we're in could've been paid for as well as all our other stuff...

Cars are fun, but they also suck!!

car ran a 13.03 @ 103.8mph before i tore into the motor. heck, it kept speeding up, but i just couldn't live with how much oil it burned.

hmmpph, 13.03@103 with an n/a daily driven 305...and everyone said this motor wouldn't break into anything quicker than 14.5....yeah, i'd say i'm pretty pleased.

360 is the plan next (350 .060 over)
9.9:1 c/r with forged pistons/rods, a set of 462 "double/camel hump" heads and an xe274 cam to tie it all together. check out my site at www.preacherskid.jamaministry.com for more info on my combo. should run some 12.0-12.2's. i hope to have the motor in the car and running properly before thanksgiving...

Ohhh. That's always an indication that something is about to let go. All my personal bests with all the engines I've had were always just before they failed.

Mine has gotten slower, guess it'll live a while longer Although, it does feel a bit stronger now since the new headers and exhaust have been put on I'll find out the 29th
