Im just curious if my Camaro project has the potential to pull the front wheels off the ground. I watched some video of me racing and my front end shoots up a ton as is(Restricted, untuned, crappy T5, slipping clutch, open rear end spinning the right tire) I bet the stock V6 springs I have help that alot.
Im estimating 440ish horsepower and torque on the motor: 350, Trick Flow K.D. sig. Heads -ported, 234/242 538/559 roller cam, torker 2 intake, holley 700cfm. Gonna put in either a th350 or 700r4 with a 3000stall. I also use M/T P275 ET Streets.
Think it'll do it??

with 5.xx gears.
I saw some pics of 3rd Gen pulling the wheels, stock suspension, 350 vortec heads, decent cam, 3500 stall, 3.73's, so that got me thinking
It all has to do with weight transfer and suspension settings. My car only pulls the wheels about 6" off the ground but you can also have cars with 1/2 the HP pull the wheels 3 feet off the ground.
With relatively stock suspension, you'll need a lot of torque to pull the wheels off the ground.

Having the soft V6 springs helps right?
Springs support the weight of the car. They're all based on a spring rate and length. A lighter spring rate spring will help but not always. I use V6 springs in the front and rear of my car but it also weighs a lot less than stock. V6 front springs hold up the front of my car just perfect.

you should get rid of the torker 2 intake, i went through the same thing, and i upgraded to an air gap intake.

maybe you will like it.
but before i had a 350, trick flow heads, smaller cam .486, 1.6 trick flow roller rockers, and had the torker 2 intake, put the air gap on and it seemed to work and a little better, it pulled a little higher into the RPM range.
but maybe thats just me, sorry if i had you choosing, good luck with the setup!!

My car only has 290hp/330tq and I can about jump a coke can with the left front tire. All I did to the front was remove the sway bar and put skinnies on the front. The rear just has Spohn suspension LCA and panhard bar. Stock shocks, springs all around. Now I launch about 3500 rpms with the T-5 and MT sportsmans .
I think my camaro will do it
Or at least stretch the hell out of the front springs making a good picture. I watched my videos again with closer detail, and I noticed when I let off the throttle right after launching one time, my front end squatted down to about 2inches off the ground. Looks like Im gonna be scraping the pavement too
