Car: 2005 Lincoln LS, 83' Z28
Engine: 242 DOHC and an empty engine bay.
Transmission: 5R55S, T5 soon to be auto
Axle/Gears: 3.58s and soon to be 4.10s
SBC rods...

What exactly has to be done to small block chevy rods for them to be able to work in a 660?? I got a spare engine that Im gonna start building for boost and I want some good internals but cant find any that are specific for our engines.... Any help is appreciated.. thanks

You can use "Small Jounal" early SBC rods. You then need to have the crank jounal ends narrowed by a machine shop from .940" wide to .854" wide (take off .086").

The wrist pin diameter then needs to be bushed down for the .912" wrist pin but the small end width is fine as is.

hey charger if u need a set of rods done, im about to do a set for my motor depending on just how much is involved with the machine work i could prolly get a set done for ya to cheap

dave, i may be interested in a set as well, as logn as they will work in a 2.8 with a 3.1 crank

dont know yet i havent machined mine yet, and if i machine anymore after mine ud have to supply the rods,or i can get them ud just have to pay me however much the rods are + machine work
