what is the best components
I had to vote other, because you did not list Focal !
If money is no object, I'd say the best components are:
Rainbow References (typically $7000)
Focal Utopias (typically $1000 - 1200 for the package components, I'm using a custom set that will cost about $2300 or so)
Dynaudio (not sure on price, i think they are in the same ball park as Focal Utopias.)

Other...while MB Quart are nice they are certinly not the best. I'll go with CDT, A/D/S/, or Dynaudio. Others are Image Dynamics, Oz Audio, and Focal. There will never be one brand that is the best. Everyone has a differant taste in sound like fingerprints.

well, i dont know if anyone mentioned them already, but Crystal components are a very, very nice deal. just about everywhere i've seen has them on sale. i picked up a set of the 3-way components for $130. i know what you're thinkin, but i assure you, these are awesome speakers. have not heard one bad thing said about them anywhere and lots of praise. i love them, just cant wait to get them amped. if you can still find 'em, buy 'em. since i got mine, i think just about everywhere is outta stock of these things. check sounddomain.com, they did have them. highly recommended. i realize that there are better sets out there, no contest, but these are by far your best bang for your buck.

I dunno where u guys or from, but in my opinion eclipse and xtant are the way to go. Eclipse is the only company i know that offers a one year anti theft warantee, and they also have great amps, subs, and components. As for you people who say jensen, legacy, and rampage, you must be smokin some good crack, cuz that stuff is CHEAP.
Focal (Utopia's are wonderful, but I wouldn't underestimate the 165K2) and A/D/S are the best I've heard, but I've never been able to sample CDT or Dynaudio.
I've also found that it takes a pretty damn expensive MB Quart speaker before they compare to the first two. Their similarly priced gear doesn't stand up as well.
