Cold Start Injector

The Accel Base for the SuperRam doesn't have provisions for the Cold Start System, my problem is that its a pain to start in the morning. Any Help, Ideas or Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

since the intake has no provisions for the CS injector i would recommend PROM burning. since in 89 they eliminated the CS injector, it would be best to start with an 89' BIN. lots of people recommend the ARAP bin since it has the best MAF scalar tables and primes all 8 injectors on cold start up(no need for CS inj). that would be your best bet. good luck

edit: since i see that you have had your chip already burned, maybe they could do those modifications for you. or better yet maybe you can get into PROM burning.

I have a custom burned aftermarket 89' Chip (By Perfomance Resource; long story on why i have it) BUT I can't use it because of the VATS System.

Does anybody know if you can take a Custom Made Chip and burn the VATS system off of it???
Also (I know this is frowned upon) But..... I was wondering if I can mail this chip to someone here with the equpiment to burn chips, so they that can burn the VATS off for me. I just want to get my car running right so I can sell it and buy something else. I would be willing to pay for your time and be Eternally grateful. :hail: E-mail at

I also tried E-mailing Performance Resource and they have been ingoring me for weeks. I even told them I would buy another custom chip, but no response.

i would be wary of buying a custom chip off the board. i know a member has has hell with a individual that was supposed to have burned him a custom chip. edmond (synergy, blade etc...) as for the 89 PROM all you need to do is disable the VATS like you said. i too was in this dilimena. they want $150 to disable vats. I laughed at them. all you have to do is buy the programming hardware and the software. i myself have all the hardware but now require the software. to disable VATS (IE tuner cat) all you have to do is disable a "flag" and burn the the BIN to the EEPROM and Voila you have a 89 PROM without Vats. i would recommend visting the PROM Board on how to do this. i myself wan't intrested all all but after looking into it, it's not all that difficult. but the best of luck.

The major dilema I have is I am going to sell my car soon so I don't want to buy several hundred dollard worth of equpiment that I'll only use once. So I'd be willing to take the risk of losing some money as opposed to losing hundreds in equpimet Guarenteed. Anyways thanks forthe replies mystikkal_69.

Not sure I'd put a SuperRam on a car right before I sell it.

There are other vendors out there...Ed Wright, FastChips (maybe same thing), Howell EFI, TTS, etc. who will burn you a no-cold start chip without EFI.
