I also drive a white Camaro. It's an 1987 IROC-Z with red graphics. Other than a cowl induction hood and 4th gen exhaust tips, the car looks stock. And every once in a while, I drive my red 1987 Z28 convertible.

I'd be interested, but I think I just broke either my torque converter or my flexplate. (At least I hope it's not the transmission.) So I'm going to be driving the VW awhile now. heh

I'm down with SIR... and now the Iroc is back in commission once again, so just need a battery tie-down and I'm good. Turns out I have a broken cat that only rattles when it's heated up. While I was down there I fixed my leaking oil cooler.. I'll be making a small article about stock oil coolers soon since I found very little info about it anywhere, including Haynes.

I saw two thirdgen Camaros in Rita Ranch today while I was gassing up the bug... you guys already invading the area?

I ran on March 1 and it was a waste of time and money. It was very windy and very cold. And I've never seen as many cars running as I did that night. I got there about 6:30pm and got my only pass in around 9pm.

I don't know what the turnout will be on the 15th, so I'd like to go much earlier this time, say around 4:30pm. I'd like to get one pass in just as the track is opening.

I was planning on going North of Valencia / East of Alvernon behind the power plant. There's a bunch of yards back there and I figure at least one of them should have the part I need. =)

What parts do you need? I have a few Iroc parts in my garage.

 

I need a tan screw for the rear spare tire cover and the white plastic thing behind it. Also, I need a IROC Z gfx emblem and the piece of trim the holds the back of the headliner up. Maybe see if I can find a decent drivers seat. If you dont have it, maybe I can go junkin' with you. I have not been to any around here looking yet. Thomas

Hey Synapsis, were you pulling a motorcycle with your car today? I saw a red iroc pulling one today.

 

Nope. I don't have a hook-up on my car for towing... or a motorcycle.

Probably the only things that my car has specific to it are 3 inch exhaust pipes the end behind the bumper, a flowmaster sticker under the license plate (which I can't get off), no fog lights, and I'm missing the Iroc-Z cap on my right rear wheel.

 

I'd go out to SIR tonite except I have other plans that I cannot break, again. I could probably meet everybody the next weekend. I also read in a magazine that Super Chevy is also supposed to be here in the next couple of weeks but SIR doesn't show it. Oh well.

The Super Chevy Show will be at SIR in November. Last year they were here in November. They were here four years ago (the first time). It was at this show that I won my class with my convertible.

Thats great we all need to get to gether where we can, check each others cars out. Lets pick a place besids SIR so we have time to talk and it doesn't cost as much. Then we can go down and run times. I have mods I have done and need to check out, and would like to see what you'all have done. but it would be cool to do it befor or after the test and tune on friday night . I am still willing to do a BBQ or what ever for a Tucson Gathering. I have plenty of room and the neibors will understand.
