Nice Koni Yellows for sale!

Been a while since I posted here having gotten rid of my IROC however, I still have a set of the Koni "yellows" for sale. These are in extremely good condition for being used and other than a few spots, could pass for new in box. These come with the top nuts on each shock and strut, no lower hardware included. I have a nice **** and insert key as well. The shock bushings are aged and show the typical cracking as any rubber bushing does on the outside. The interior sleeves are okay, however. This brings me to another point: I sold the original Koni rear shocks and bought a set of Koni rear shocks for the Ford Thunderbird. Setting for setting, this shock will behave a little softer than the Camaro shock. The rates are also a little different and if you are a hard racer, you would notice the rear has some very slight hesitation coming up and out of a corner. This can be changed via the ****, so don't think its going to float like a cloud or your grandmas Cadillac. Why would I want lighter activity in the rear you say? Well, if I told you, it wouldn't be my little racing secret would it.

I don't have any pictures however, I wish to have some available on the internet by the end of the week for your viewing pleasure. In the mean time, ponder about this price: $550 shipped via FedEx in the continental United States. New, I had more than 850 dollars tied up here. When you see their condition, I don't think anyone will bawk at the price.

A note about the bushings: I never got around to replacing them because KONI kept telling me it would be another four weeks before they arrived due to their special order status. I got tired of waiting and stopped correspondance with them. Funny, I never did get them. I suppose I was being fed a line of BS, you?

I can take pictures of the ****, inserts, and nuts if necessary.

For some reason, they have a neon green shade to them in the pictures. Rest assured they are not!

Probably. I got used fronts for $200 and used rears for $150.

You should probably mention the miles/age of them as well.

They were on for a few years and were used a few seasons, accordingly. I have no idea how many miles that would equate to, however. They have been sitting for a while, if it makes a difference.

500 shipped since they are not the typical used and abused stuff that floats around. After all, they are Koni pieces.

I would also be willing to trade for a set of D-dish forged pistons for 35x CID and/or 4340 3.48" crank. +/- cash negotiable

What was the front spring rate were you were using them with? Any estimation on laps or hours on them?

thanks

All depends on what shape they are in. The fronts can be rebuilt and revalved by Koni, the rears cannot. The Fronts tend to wear out fast when they are used with high rate springs (stiff).

I talked the driver today and he said they were using 700 lb/in springs up front. He also told me they were revalved for the springs by Koni and were run for a year after. I asked him for mileage/hours and he gave me the "I wouldn't even know where to start." But, he told me they are in excellent condition and were only replaced in favor of a double adjustable piece - not for being worn out. He also told me the rears are virtually brand new and that the bushings which look old were salvaged when they moved to the Thunderbird shock which had a different bushing.

I hope this is helped you out, I am sorry I couldn't be of more help myself.
