No way those t-tops work in a 90 or 91 both had the Large pins.

You are right, 83-91 had at least three different styles of pins/hooks.
I assume that message is just scambait (the post count and message format hint a lot).

what year is your car ? I have 91-92 sets for 200.00 and then 82-89 sets for 75

 

What exactly is the difference ??

I realize that the 90-92 has a big pin - but so what ?? I know that the newer style had an additional drip edge running down the edge of the T-Top and to me that's what makes them better.

I remember having a set of LEXAN tops on my 84, No Problem..... They fit just fine. and to prove my memory I just checked again. It's about 12 degrees outside and I just when out there in a T-Shirt and installed a "large pin" T-Top on my 86 Coupe. No Problems.

I remember reading on these boards some years ago that there was a difference and I bought a set of T-Top mounting plates for the BIG PIN Tops and they were the same exact thing as what was on my 84. I think the 82 ONLY has the Hook style latch. Am I missing something ??

91-92 have large pins, and are about 1/4 of an inch longer from from to back, not left to right. May not sound like that big of a deal but does on the 91 to 92 camaros.

As long as you put the mounting plate for the large pins in the older cars you should be fine, but some times that does not always work.

Hook style latch, is also aftermarket. Some dealerships were selling more t-tops cars then other dealerships. And the Ist year of the Iroc every dealership only got 2 irocs. Some got 1 hardtop, and a t-top, well other got both hardtop, or both t-tops depending on where in the counrty the dealership was. So the only way so dealership to have a iroc camaro was to send it out and have aftermarket t-tops put in the camaro. I had a 88 parts camaro with Hook Style latches. At the time I did not know what they were and the vin was saying it should of been a hardtop camaro, no a t-top I put them on ebay and they went for just over 300.00 dollars cause they are so hard to find. I guy i talk to parted out his camaro after he could not find replacemnet t-tops when some on broke out the tops at a foorball game.

yup hes right ... i found some locally which im gettin both t tops and the bag for $50..... however, im keepin the thread up b/c i have found ppl selling t tops before for a great price but for one reason or another i never got them....

 

ok this guy isn't coming through please let me k now if anyone still has them !!! i'd prefer to pick them up rather than ship them...... i need glass t tops to fit an 86 trans am or camaro either will work.

 

hey man sorry for the delay i had problems wit my phone anyway i went to get them off the car today and meet up with your friend but i went to get them and when i pulled the cover off it looks like some broke them on me one is complete gone there's a million pieces in the car and the other one is missing the front part sorry about all this
