Well I have now turned down 3 $400 offers this week as I was trying to be fairly firm on $500 as I think that price is really not out of line at all but make a cash offer and come get them and you never know

Has anything been done to them like milling or any of that, and also are those still the valves that they came with?

I just found out that I have the vortec style heads and I suppose intake, We are replacing the intake with a Edelbrock Performer and 600 cfm carb. Will the heads still fit on the block? Also will a set of 350 heads fit this 305 use to be tpi engine?

Re: FS-2.02 World Products Sportman ll Heads
200cc heads are quite big for a 305 from my understanding.. A street 305 atleast.. but yes 350 heads will work on your 305.. your gonna loose compression and the flow differance between stock 305 and 350 heads isnt worth the swap.. youd be better off buying aftermarket heads made for the 305..

Thank you 69charger383 I appreciate the reply. We are going to just buy new if the cost of rebuild is high for the vortex ones.

Re: FS-2.02 World Products Sportman ll Heads
Just wondering how you think these heads would work on a 383. I'm waiting on a guy to sell me his block and crank. Heard good things about these and if I can get the guy to sell his block I'll take them. I'll know in the next couple of days, but I know you've been trying to unload these for awhile so don't hold them for me. Thanks!

Re: FS-2.02 World Products Sportman ll Heads
depends on your goals, but looking at the flow numbers i've seen, which are around 245/160 cfm, you'll support near 400-450 hp on a decent cam. mild clean up stock castings with alittle short side radius porting will probly give you another 10% air flow or more. they do have lots of room for porting. If i can get the cash i'd consider these heads too for my upcoming cam swap...atleast i hope to have an upcoming cam swap lol
Re: FS-2.02 World Products Sportman ll Heads
These heads are off a 383 stroker motor and the car made awesome hp
used for less than 3000 miles

YOU GUYS WHO DID NOT GET THE CHANCE TO BUY THESE HEADS ARE LUCKY. I AM THE BUYER, AND I GOT THE HEADS TODAY. THEY HAVE MASSIVELY BENT VALVES AND WILL NEED MACHINE WORK TO RUN AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! This guy gave me such a hard time answering emails too, after I had paid. What an attitude.
I will post pics of the damage. If I am lucky Paypal will help me out. I would have been much better off buying new heads. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!

Re: FS-2.02 World Products Sportman ll Heads
I paid $400 for boat anchor heads (they are not assembled heads, they are bare heads plus valves). These were on a 383 that he obviously blew up, from the condition of the heads (he said they were in excellent like new condition). This guy is a total crook. Two of the valves were obviously smacked by pistons. I just took a video of me spinning two of the bent valves by hand. It is amazing how bent they are. They won't sit flush against the seat they are so bad. The seats got ruined and will need machine work, if not inserts.
I should have just bought new heads, but I trusted that he would be honest. WRONG!
Here are pics of the heads IrocZ85 sold me as "3,000 miles, excellent condition"
The intake valve in the pictures is FULLY CLOSED!!! It is so bent that huge gap between the valve and the seat occurs. Also notice the close up of the seat. There were several spots on the seat like this. One end of the seat is peened over and does not seal against even a straight valve that I test fit w/ marking compound.

Thanks a lot IrocZ85 (Brian)

Those are junk. Ugg.
You get a quote from a machine shop ? I wonder if the seats can be cut back. I know you cannot put larger valves in them. They almost touch as is.

Re: FS-2.02 World Products Sportman ll Heads
what my pics did not show is that where the super bent intake valve was smacking the seat off center, it peened it over bad enough that it can't really be ground without taking a ton of material off. The seat can probably be repaired with an insert but now we are talking $$$$ for supposedly "ready to run" heads I just bought.
I just got an email response from IrocZ85 brian blanchard, saying "Thanks you have also been hell to deal with"
What a mature guy this is
His ebay ID is mkpam8o6m. Although his feedback is overall okay, he does have 17 negatives, and they reiterate poor communication and misrepresented condition of items. I'll say!
