I'll double that offer and pick up for $100. If it had heads on it, I would have bought the engine when he first posted it.

You put that on craigslist? That should sell quick I'd think. $400 is a great price.

I'm actually looking for one of these, but I live in Indiana...I'd only have 200 bucks to offer though since it has no heads and valve train.

Re: (delete)92' L-98 350 short block complete $400.00

Don't sweat it montecarlossman, I didn't see anything in his post that said he had the heads, if it did, I would've already figured out a way to get to Wisconsin. In non of his posts does he say he has the heads and valvetrain, in his original post, it says "short block" and we know what a short block is.

Re: 92' L-98 350 short block complete $350

WATCH OUT FOR THIS GUY!! He ripped me off!!! He quoted me a price for an item and then almost doubled it AFTER I sent him money when he saw shipping to me was expensive. I offered for him to keep $10 for his trouble and give me a refund and he refused. I attempted several times to convince him but he now just ignores me. I have documentation consisting of PM’s and email’s and will gladly post it if anyone needs proof.

Re: 92' L-98 350 short block complete $350

I'm not saying that I don't believe you, but that is a hefty claim to make. A little proof would be helpful if you are going to say something like this openly. Also, I would buy in person, no shipping so there wouldn't be problems, but for a stock short block, or he says long block but in his original post he says nothing of heads, but anyways, for $350, plus the gas I'd use in my truck to go there and come back, I'd be better off getting an engine from the local boneyard, from intake to oil pan.

With all do respect galletti, to be fair to the OP, it would be good for you to prove your claim. This could go either way, it is your word against his. Sorry, but right now it looks like you are badgering him, I could be wrong, but I'm just saying what it looks like.

Does that include the rails and injectors? Because you had the intake posted for $50 shipped.
no, just the intake. do you need everything. i have the rail, injsctors, regulator (stock) misc fittings and most hardware. i'd sell it all for $125 shipped!! + paypal fee of 4%
let me know asap, i'm ready to box it up for good!.

11-04-2009 Re: TPI intake
08:16 PM smallblockking

No, I only need the lower intake. I'm just wondering how it went from being posted for $50 shipped to $90 shipped.
it's my mistake. it's your location that makes it more. i can do it for $60 shipped +4% paypal fee

we have a problem, shipping to you is WAY TOO MUCH!!!
CHEAPEST IS $125.00
let me know what you wan to do.

What method are you using? USPS freight should be not too bad.
usps, ups and fedex are all within $2-$3 difference

So I emailed him and asked for a refund. I was nice enough to offer he keep $10 but he wound up ripping me off anyway.

I tried to contact you via PM but it's been 11 days since I told you you could keep $10 of the $62 I sent for the TPI base because of the shipping cost issue. I haven't heard from you and I know you've been online because you keep posting. Check you PM's and send me a refund.

I sent you the amount YOU asked for! Then you double it because you were irresponsible enough to quote a price without first checking! I'm being nice enough to offer you to keep something for your troue even though this whole mess is your fault! You have until tomorrow to comply.

No need for the language. Well if that's "like it is", you need to review your version of the facts. YOU gave me a quote which I promptly paid. In fact, I sent you more that $60 + the 3% you asked for. You then doubled the price on me and you expect me to just sent you MORE money. I told you MINUTES after you asked for more money that it was a no go. If you didn't bother to read your messages and miraculously turned down some buyer in that time frame, it's still your fault for misquoting your price. Trust me when I say it's gonna cost you more in sales that the $52.00 I'm asking for. I'm trying to be civil about this and letting you keep something for your trouble. This is a last chance. Think about it.

Ok then. Since you chose to steal from me and now are ignoring me, I have no choice but to take action. Rest assured that EVERY item you list for sale at thirdgen .org will be followed by a reply from me with details as to how you ripped me off. It will include copies of all our communication. Remember, you stated a price which I paid and then you practically doubled the price on me. It's your lack of attention and your mistake having quoted me the wrong price. I refuse to pay for YOUR mistake and have no other option than to expose you as the thief you are. If the funds are not back in my account by the end of the weekend I will take the above mentioned measures.

Re: 92' L-98 350 short block complete $350

No problem. I'm posting the messages between us. It's a little difficult to follow but, it boils down to this:
1. He posted the part in the classifieds for $50 shipped.
2. When I asked him about it he said $90 shipped.
3. He went back to the posted price when I challenged him on it.
4. I sent the money.
5. He then found out that shipping to me was actually more expensive so he asks for $120 shipped (more than twice the price)
6. I decide that's too expensive for me so, to be nice, I tell him to keep $10 and refund the rest.
7. He refused and then it deteriorated from there.

No, I only need the lower intake. I'm just wondering how it went from being posted for $50 shipped to $90 shipped.
it's my mistake. it's your location that makes it more. i can do it for $60 shipped +4% paypal fee

Wow, that sounds bad, sorry to hear about that. I've gotten ripped off before on this site and that is why I go to pick up every part that I buy. I did live in Puerto Rico for a while and I know how hard it is to get parts, sorry for the trouble that this has caused you. Check your PM's when you get a chance.
