mild comp roller cam
have this cam sitting in my garage. its an XR-264-HR and its for a factory roller motor. its allmost new with less than 500 miles on it. i bought everything new as a matching combo from comp when i built my motor. the lifters are the high energy rollers and the springs are 986-16 1.43inch outer dia double w/dampers. look up xr264hr and see comps' dyno sheet with a near identical engine and they made 335hp and 421ft/lbs
slightly noticable idle good vacume
valve lift with 1.5 rocker .487intake .495exhaust
lobe lift .325intake .330exhaust
duration @ .050 212intake 218exhaust
lobe separation 110.0
i went 13.1 @ 110mph on radials/nwc T-5/3.73 in my 86 firebird leaving the line at idle
slightly noticable idle good vacume

1badeagle the cam and springs are sold but the answere to your question is yes the spring pockets would have to be opened up for the 1.46" springs.
