I'm not familiar with this, can you post a link for more info or anything? The T56 using a T5 bell

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tran...rofit-t56.html

sorry can't find any great links, back in the day it was widely covered by all the rags but here's a quick description for you:

the retrofit T56 was never very popular since you had to buy the box new from tremec vs junk yard 4th gen conversion. Tremec made a box that had a different length input shaft and came with an adapter plate designed to mate with the T5 bellhousing (17 deg tilt) or older 4 speed GM cars. It also had a different tail housing that relocated shifter to stock location and a mechanical speedo output. The torque arm and DS needed to get shortened by about 2" and a modified/custom x-member was needed. It's probably a hard box to find and has no OEM application. The big T56 shops can make these types of boxes on request all the time I'm sure and you can probably find the individual parts needed to build one. Internal gear ratios are:

2.97:1, 2.07:1, 1.43:1, 1.00:1, 0.80:1, 0.62:1 3.28:1 reverse

How many miles on the lower control arm bushings? Are the ball joints any good?

Re: Suspension parts Sphon/Hotchkis/BMR/Global West

Hard to say exact millage, I didn't make a clear note in my log. My best guess is they were installed on the car from 2000 to 2008. No slop in ball joints when I took them off. One of the boots has a tear.

Re: Suspension parts Sphon/Hotchkis/BMR/Global West

That torque arm- is it an older design? All the arms from Spohn nowadays have a fixed front attachment on a shackle...this doesn't look like it uses a shackle? The crossmember could modify for my application no prob but am curious about that design of TQ arm?

Re: Suspension parts Sphon/Hotchkis/BMR/Global West

What are you looking to get out of the cross member? I already have a spohn cross member, but back when I did the T5 bell-t56 swap there was no x member that would fit it so I had to hack up the standard t56 cross member.

Re: Suspension parts Sphon/Hotchkis/BMR/Global West

How about $20 for panhard? shipping to 68123 is $18

92RS, I'm a bit hesitant to break up the torque arm and crossmember since they're suppose to work together. But looks like somebody else is interested in the torque arm alone so maybe breaking it up can work out. Just waiting to hear back from them.

Re: Suspension parts Sphon/Hotchkis/BMR/Global West

How's $45+shipping? swapping out old stock bushings is no walk in the park, I think it would be easier to just take the entire a-arm and put in new ball joints. The ball joints on these were ok when I took them off, no slop, but can't remember how much use is on them. Replacing them could be good preventative. One of them has a tear in the boot that I tried to take a pic of.

I wish I was still in nj id save on shipping! But im still interested as I could with not too much effort swap my new ball joints from my current arms to these.

It's duct tape holding the derlin washers in place. Here's a diagram of the bushings.

Re: Suspension parts Sphon/Hotchkis/BMR/Global West

Both panhards still available. USPS is giving me $14 shipping to 13027

By the way I also have a Hellwig solid 33mm front sway bar if anybody is interested. That is as stiff as you can go.

Longisland! Crap we could probably meetup in Manhattan and save shipping. I shipped the hotchkiss panhard to upstate NY for about $13 so no more than that. The bar itself is $20

No personal experience with UMI but I took a look at their website and the part# 2020 is the closest thing to the BMR I'm selling except mine doesn't have grease fittings.
