I have a 350 tbi, stock minus smog, was wondering if there is much power to be had in a performance tune for my application?

 

Suppose I had switched my tpi stuff over to a miniram or a stealth ram and wanted to run a 4th gen pcm can you program it? And if so how much?

 

If you have a 122746 ecm all I can provide is a mostly is a mostly stock tune.
If you want more than that live tuning needs to be done after you datalog.

 

For The 4th gen camaro ecms, I can only reprogram the 16159278 with the removable memcal.

It is not totally necessary to have a prom reprogramed if you are going from a automatic to a manual transmission. The idle air control is slightly different between the two different tunes so if you experience bucking on deceleration you would want a new prom.The idle target speed is also different between a automatic and manual transmission. For tbi proms in there holder I charge $55 shipped.

I would just send you the prom, it is removable from the ecm. Would be a plug and go play.

tuned perf, I'm doing an engine swap. Already 350 f inj and knock sensor. Next in my agenda is the PROM. Do you re-program the 305 PROM, or, do I have to send you a 350 PROM and you re-program, or, you have PROMs for sale? How does it work? My email is wruiz922@verizon.net if you need to reply offline. Is there anything worthwhile that you can do for a 305 tbi with stock exhaust manifolds, 3" after the Y pipe, Edelbrock Performer lower intake, and an MSD 6A box? No EGR, AIR blocked off; if it matters.

 

There is not to much that can be done on improvement on a mostly stock engine. The egr code 32 and egr function can be disabled. I can also disable the air diverter function.

 

If I sent you a 1987 Firebird 5.7L ECM #1227165 without a PROM, could you install a PROM and program it as a 1989 ECM with the cold start injector delete?

After answering a bunch of my questions, Tuned Performance sent me a PROM with VATS disabled. Product was shipped very quickly, arrived in a couple days, was packaged well, and works perfectly. My car is running for the first time in five months.

For your combination, I would start with a base tune and build off of that to correct fueling.
There are a few ways of doing the tuning sending me a datalog and I mail you a replacement eprom or if you purchase a moates.net burn 2 I can solder in a adapter on your memcal so it will accept a newer flash based eeprom. TTS data master or tunerpro Bolth work well of datalogging but the 1227165 ecm is hit or miss on connection.

 

Thinking about doing a heads, cam, and intake mani swap along with the Ultimate TBI mods and an afpr. already have headers and an open element filter. Car is a 350 Tbi, T5 Manual. What do you suggest?

 

If your 350 is a truck engine or caprice I can work up a custom tune. unless your running a mild camshaft or 305 55#hr injectors there would not be a need to install a afpr. Feel free to send me a pm I have some choices to help you out
