This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance
I'm not a regular here but I was fortunate enough to join this forum and get hooked up with tunedperformance. He has been trying to help me straighten out an issue I am having with my IAC operation on my car. He has stayed right in there from the beginning with help, advice, and ideas and even some parts for me to try out. He's a great guy to go to for problems you may be having, keep him in mind. Thanks once again Brian.

Worked extensively with Tuned Performace this weekend. Great guy, would absolutely recommend him for any ECM/Chip work you might need. Very reasonable pricing too!

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance
I started this thread back in early June and it is now past mid July and Brian is still with me. I had a real mess and between his advice and his tuning my car is just about perfect. It may well be perfect today when I am receiving Brian's latest tune for me to try. I might mention that his first tune was tons closer to being right than another much more expensive tuner sent me. I thought I was buying a good tune "forless" but boy was I wrong. Brian has nicknamed me "Bad Luck Chuck" for reasons much too numerous to go into here but thanks to him I think my bad luck streak is over.

@ jas2730, I'm also to blamed for the economic situation
chuck, I sure hope this does the trick, if not more data logs will help. I worked hard making a maf spread sheet and I hope my calculations are correct in your blm / maf changes. I will be on slow dial up this weekend send me a email with a update. once we get things ironed out I will send you a copy of the final tune so you can have it for your records. my flash drive I kept people's tunes on went south so I had to start all over. I will not bash other tuners but I have a real issue with another person who is changing the peramiter of the blms to lock it so it appears the engines tune is at its best. I will not name names but I feel that is verry unethical and a very poor buisness practice. I strive on Honesty

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance
So - Tuned Performance did a chip for my 1987 IROC. We had modded the engine, but not the computer. I had a dyno run from before, and I just did the after run today. Not only does the car FEEL much faster, but they dyno run showed 20HP and nearly 40 ft lbs of torque improvement. AT the rear wheels (and at 6000ft altitude) the car is making nearly what it did at the flywheel with the original stock engine! She's seeing about 220hp and 320tq at the rear wheels. And the price was great too as was the service!

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance
I'm new here and just recently purchased my first car with a 1985 305 IROC Z28 motor in it. It is a 62 Nova Convertible. The computer appears to be a 1227730 but not sure what PROM is in it or if it has been programed for the car. The builder mounted it backwards so I can't get the plate off to pull the PROM until I can pull it all out an check it out. It is set up for speed density system. Since buying the car I have changed the rearend ratio and tires sizes. On my first trip I averaged 19.5 mpg and it runs great. Just wandering if I need to re-program what I have or maybe replace the PROM programed for what I know is done to the car. I have a friend that is getting around 30 mpg with his with pretty much the same setup.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance
Depending on the rear end ratio at the most you might see a average of 24-25 mpg. I might have to do a read on the memcal to see what your starting with and go from there and then have you data log. If you are using the 700r4 and the tcc lockup speed is affecting mpg there is a few thing that can be done to help that. Either the tcc lockup can be changed up bye the amount the speedometer is off assuming you have a vss or the drive/driven gears can be changed in the transmission for rear end gear correction.
Using a GPS, the speedo is about 1-2 mph off but running a electronic speedo that can correct that. Before I changed the rear axle it was some where around 3:50 ratio and I'm running 2:79's now. I have been thinking of having a 2004R built for her this winter that I have stockpiled unless I can get a 700r4 to fit the hump.
The wife bought this car a year ago. I'm into 40 Fords.

love that color mj40s same color I'm going to do my 67 camaro. We don't use the four letter F word here lol.
Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance
Not totally true. It all depends on the final drive ratio. You can achieve that with ratio and tire sizes to match the final drive of a overdrive. My trany guy hates overdrives and proved it to his street rod buddies by setting up his Chevy to match their mpg's on a long trip. Half the time they could not use overdrive thru the mountain drives.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance
I must add more kudos to Tuned Performance! Despite being quite far apart, he's been great helping me get my V6 tune just right! Real time consuming having to ship me a chip, have me road test it and log data, then send him the data each time - BUT he's been fantastic! No pressure, fair pricing, lots of good advice!
For anyone else that has done a 3.4 swap or is going to do one, we'll have a good baseline going and I highly recommend going with Brian to get it fine tuned. Definitely worth it!

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance
This guy is damn amazing.
The previous owner of my car swapped a 350 into a 305 car and left the 305 injection components in. Contacted Tunedperformance and he cut me an amazing deal on a set of 350 injectors which he rebuilt for me and a 350 tune.
I did a test fire of the memcal with my stock 305 injectors still in it and the car runs better than before. Before it would miss like a beast on a computer reset until it was driven a bit, now I have no fear of resetting my ecm.
He put up with my ramblings through PMs and worked with me to get the tune I wanted. He answered my questions promptly and shipped when he said.
He is even willing to reburn the tune to lower the tcc lockup should I find the current settings not to my liking.
Great guy to deal with.
