Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance
I joined this site back in 2016-2017 and I’ve always received a lot of help/replies from Brian. Brian is a great person who has taken time to reply back to my pm’s and has done a few tunes for a couple third gens. Great asset to the TGO community who’s previous post and current posts keep helping most of us. Thanks Brian!

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance
Brian recently helped me with a memcal for an abandoned 454TBI truck I picked up. great communication, fast service, made a memcal for me that solved my issue and the truck runs great now. Definitely a great asset for these cars and TPI/TBI applications in general.

Quote: I'm not a regular here but I was fortunate enough to join this forum and get hooked up with tunedperformance. He has been trying to help me straighten out an issue I am having with my IAC operation on my car. He has stayed right in there from the beginning with help, advice, and ideas and even some parts for me to try out. He's a great guy to go to for problems you may be having, keep him in mind. Thanks once again Brian.

Yes brian at tunedperformance is great always willing to answer all my questions. Helped with a new tune for my 91 tpi camaro. There not many out there with as much knowledge about tpi intakes as brian.. thanks again.

Brian made a chip for my 1988 Pontiac Firebird. Send it to him and as soon as he got it, he notified me that he received it and it was shipped back to me the following day.
He also helped me through email with some trouble I was having with some electrical issues with the car. He happily answered all my questions and is very knowledgeable.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance
I would like to provide additional

feedback regarding my recent experience with Brian Van Schoiack from Tuned Performance.Org. I replaced the 305 engine in my 1991 Z28 with a freshly rebuilt 350 roller motor, which included numerous upgrades such as a 30 over bore, refurbished Vortec 906 heads, new studs and valves, 24lb injectors, roller rockers, and an Isky cam #211-257-265 (460/485 lift, 209/217 @ .050 duration). Additionally, I installed Shorty headers, an aftermarket 3" Y pipe with a high-flow catalytic converter, and a Flowmaster cat-back exhaust system.
After completing the engine swap, I encountered difficulties extracting my stock Binary data. I reached out to Brian on a Saturday, and he responded promptly, providing a base tune to get the car running immediately. Despite initial idling issues, Brian offered quick solutions. After a few data logs and six tune revisions, the car is now performing exceptionally well.
I cannot speak highly enough of Brian's support. His knowledge is outstanding, and his response time is impressive. Whenever I sent a question or data log, Brian consistently responded within a couple of hours. His expertise and dedication to customer service have truly enhanced my experience with Tuned Performance.Org.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance
I can't say enough good things about my experience with Tuned Performance. I recently had my 87 Iroc 305 LB9 rebuilt and it just didn't idle or run really well afterwards. After getting in touch with TP, correcting timing and going through some data logging and making several tuning adjustments the car runs so much better now. It really takes off in each gear (T5) and is such a blast to drive. Before it was not very responsive and much slower. I'm super appreciative to have this specialized help as most shops do not understand this part of the process, which truly is critical if you want your car to run as well as it can. TP is super patient, responsive and great to deal with.

Can you lean out the open loop tables? My car stinks while in open loop, and no AIR. I know GM dumps fuel in open loop so it doesn't stall. But it's too rich. Once it goes into closed loop, the car leans out, and no more stench.

do you have a wideband gauge ?
that’s the best approach lean enough that it doesn’t surge warming up.some engine like even 10.5 afr in cold start.

have you messed with cold start enrichment table ?

No.
factory o2 sensor, or heated o2 sensor. I have run both, runs the same.
never did a wide band. ECM is stock 165

Stock manifolds, stock TPI motor. stock N10. Where would you install a wide band port?

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance
Not to much room by the stock o2 they are heated so you can put a bung by the cat or in the downpipe by the narrowband if there’s space. If it’s good in closed loop and you don’t really do much wide open pulls the cold start enrichment can be leaned out .

I would never lean out the WOT tables. Going lean will burn a piston at 4000 RPM. I'd lean out the cold start tables at idle only. If fact, I had a lean problem above 4000 RPM;s, because my injectors were undersized. I had to upsize the injectors to keep the stock prom. I have to look at my notes..

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance
I went through all my notes. I had a unicorn problem. 1989 LB9. T5. N10, big cam TPI motor. Which is the 350 cam, not the peanut cam. all stock with SLP CAT back. Multitec injectors failed, as they all do. I brought 19lb injectors, as was common knowledge back then. Stock prom, car would NOT run over 4000 RPM's. It would starve for fuel. Bog down, and eventually catch itself. Very obvious it was starving for fuel above 4000 RPM's. So I ripped out the 19's and installed Accel 21's. Car ran perfect from idle to red line.

Now comes along New Delphi 22 LB Flow Matched TPI | Fuel Injector Connection. I installed these on my stock LB9, with CAT back. No AIR. Car runs amazing. I imagine with the stock prom ANYX, it's running rich in open loop, and I can smell it. Otherwise, the car runs perfect. It has plenty of fuel at the top end. Runs strong all the way to red line.

I have the only LB9 that needs 21lb - 22lb injectors. Guess I'll never know without a wide band. But it runs great. I would like to data log just to see.. But I only have the narrowband.
