Car: 88 Iroc z convertible
Engine: 3oh5
Transmission: 5sp 3.45
1988 IR0C-Z CONVERTIBLE 06443
Greetings from the New Haven CT Shoreline.
For sale:
My 1988 IROC-Z CAMARO . This is a rare & original 5 speed Convertible.
HISTORY:
I am the third owner. I purchased the car with just over 77 thousand odometer miles in March of 2003. The previous owner put extensive time (and money) into making the car what it should be. It should be noted
that this car is, and was, a nice day-daily driver (no salt or winters though), and that is why such care has gone into it's maintenance. It does not now, nor did it, smoke on startup.
In 2000:
Air Conditioning Accumulator & Condenser - R134
Canvas Top w 4 inch seam
Heavy Duty Drive shaft
Ignition Module
0xygen Sensor Replaced.
Paint Respray - Original Color 81 Bright Red
Ring & Pinion Upgrade
Struts
Shocks
Wheels Restored
2006-7
New Alternator
New Battery
New Clutch
New ECU
New Exhaust
New Transmission Mount
This car is as highly optioned as they came, and to find all these options in a 5 speed Convertible is rare. Leather..Air...
Some options on the car
1FP87 Camaro IROC-Z Convertible, 8 cylinder (3761 PRODUCED)
AG9 Power Drivers Seat
A31 Power Windows
C60 Air Conditioning
G80 Limited Slip Axle - 9 bolt 3.45 rear end.
J65 4 Wheel Front Power Disc Brakes & Rear Disc Brakes
LB9 220 hp 305 ( Manual Transmission)
N33 Tilt Steering
N96 16 inch Aluminum Wheels (Have a fifth - full size as well.)
HONEY-DO LIST
Here is the list of things I would do if I were to keep the car .
Top: is not road worthy. The 4 year old canvas (900 dollars) is excellent but the metal frame has snapped. The top may be raised when standing still...just to keep the rain out. EST labor repair price $850.00
Hood Shocks: You'll need two of these. EST repair price $30.00
Rear Speakers: Not in car. Either replace them or look at the holes EST repair price $50.00
Paint chips: Nothing larger than a quarter inch wide (no metal-rust damage) Surface only. A lipstick sized conatiner of paint would do the whole car.
I have the paint. EST repair price $0.00
Hood Latch. The spring is a bit too large, and has made an indent in the hood. EST repair price $9.99
Door. Still closes properly, but I would re-hang it in the next two years or so. I Have the extra hinges. EST repair price $0.00
The car currently has a Hurst shifter in it. I have the Original Baseball shifter, and the original radio as well. Overall, this is an exceptional car, tons of fun, and will provide years of enjoyment and value to it's new owner. It becomes a classic in only 6 months, and as you know, the General is starting to make the Camaro again this year as well. The car is appreciating as you read this, so get in touch soon! A lot of these cars were wrecked - you'll rarely come across a nice one like this. Price is 9k firm.
Thank you for your inquiries,
dave
