brake upgrade

Just checking interest. I have 2 sets of spindles modified with new brackets for ls1 style front calipers. I also have the modified hubs. You just install these spindles and hubs, then install your 98-02 calipers and rotors. Anyways just checking interest. let me know. Thanks

Re: brake upgrade

I just starting to do this for local people. And now I wanted to offer it to everyone on TG.

Just the modified spindles with the new adapter bracket and hubs using your own bearings/seals. Also i install new lug studs in the hubs.
$195.00 Plus shipping
Also locally i have been asking for the old spindles and rotors so I can keep making more. Thanks.

Re: brake upgrade

I will be posting pictures probably monday. As far as shipping i checked and it looks like shipping is $45-$60 pretty much anywhere. Pricing will still be $195 ($35 more for new bearings) as long as you can send me your old spindles. I have not figured out about the hubs yet because i keep running out of old rotors. Not sure if everyone would be willing to ship those as well. I might have to raid all the local yards for rotors. Hopefully in the next week or two i will be ready to start shipping everything. thanks everyone.

Re: brake upgrade

I am interested in a set for sure. Do you have a full set ready to ship? Looks like you want my spindles back as a core? Whats the additional cost if I decide to keep my spindles? What if I send my spindles and old rotors back? Are you installing extended length wheel studs?

Re: brake upgrade

Hello,
Definitely interested!
But...
Making sure I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing...
The LS1 caliper bolts directly to your modified spindle? No additional bracket??
Correct???
Oh, and can I hack off most of the old rotor to save a bit on shipping? You know, behind where you need to machine of course.
Thx
Eric

Highly interested. Please PM me your address and PayPal email. I'll go for option one and send you my cores. Just to be sure this does come with the adaptor bracket right?

Re: brake upgrade

Do you have a set ready to go? Curious are you using a lathe to cut down stock rotors to make a hub? I was just looking at all this on big brake.com and pricing it out if I did Some of it myself. Found rotors and calipers cheap on eBay so now need the balance.

I just sold a set. And should have another set sold next weekend. But i will making up more as soon as i go get more spindles. I get the adapter brackets from BigBrakeUpgrade.com. So u could get them from there or i can ship them with the hubs/spindles. Yea i just modify the stock spindles and rotors (new or used depending on what u want). I do this in my spare time so sometimes it might take me a few days to get things done up and ready.

Let me know what u want or if you have any questions.

pricing changes for brake upgrade

I've sold all of the adapter bracket sets that i had. So, from now on I am lowering the pricing by $70. You can simply order the adapter brackets from bigbrakeupgrade.com. The part number is "ls1" and they are $70. I will only be selling modified spindles and hubs from now on. Here is the revised pricing:

Option 1:
You send me a set of spindles. It will be $180 + shipping. You will receive modified spindles and hubs made from NEW rotors.

Option 2:
You don't send me anything. It would be $280+ shipping. You would receive everything the same as option 2.

Option 3:
New bearings, spindle nut, and dust caps. $35 installed
Premium bearings are another $30.

Also, if you have an extra set of spindles to send i would be willing to give a break on price.

I did a quick shipping quote and it will about $45-$60 about anywhere.

Thanks.

I will be making up a few sets of these soon WHEN I can get time. Please let me know interest in this thanks. Also from now on I will not be asking for rotor cores, as all hubs will now only be made from NEW ROTORS. I have 3 sets right not that I will be making up. Thanks

Re: brake upgrade

Are the LS1 rotors 12 or 13"?
Do you use the std rotor or 1LE?
If std, can you mach the rotor for the bigger 1LE bearing?

I'm pretty sure they are 12. It uses a std 3 gen rotor. If the offset is the same and I can mill the od down far enough to fit inside the new rotor it should work.
