1991 Firebird Formula Drag Car Project
Located 30 miles SE of Pittsburgh . . . Youngwood PA
Two Cars and parts
White Car has roll cage and frame connectors. Very clean car.
Black Car is a complete 1991 Pontiac Firebird Formula Parts Car. It has a 5.7 and automatic with OD. It needs a fuel pump. Floors and rockers are soft with rust, some holes.
I also have parts from a red 91 Formula - doors, hood and a red 91 front bumper.
Both cars and all parts $1500.
No trades, need cash.

Re: 1991 Firebird Formula Drag Car Project
Black parts car does not run because it needs a fuel pump. I am unsure of mileage on it, the motor was replaced with a 5.7 from a Buick Roadmaster. Interior is ok, it should clean up well. Front seats have seat covers.
The white car was an S&W kit that previous owner put in about 7 years ago. Yes, as the ad says above the frame is connected. I do not know the specs and it has never been certified. The car has never been finished. Given the fact that it was an S&W cage I would think it meets specs for drag racing. I was going to use it as a bracket car.

PS - I am a motivated seller.
It is on local Craigslist and I am contemplating putting it on eBay.
If it interests you come see it and/or make an offer.

Thanks, it is a good deal.
But this kind of project isn't for everyone.
I had good intentions, but 4 kids have me running in every direction with no time left over for this activity.
Hopefully someone is looking for a good head start on building a race car.

Re: 1991 Firebird Formula Drag Car Project
So the background on this, my wife took the kids and left 3 months ago. We are working to a solution. One of the things on her hit list was my numerous unfinished projects. I have sold a ton of stuff on the local Craigslist. These 2 cars are a thorn in my side. I sold my trailer over the weekend so I can't even haul them to the junkyard for scrap. I put them on eBay starting at $500. If anyone here has interest for $500 and can get them this week they are all yours. We would have to do this soon, once there is a bid on it on eBay, they are gonna charge me $60 for the auction no matter what.

If the white car was a roller, it would be a no brainer.... but kinda hard to ship it if you need a forklift to load it.....
I could winch it on my trailer, but like PMD says, its drive that kills it. I'm 18 - 20 hrs one way from you, so yeah.....
I hope everything works out with the family issues....
