Torque Arm problems
I have just installed an LT1 and a 4L60E tranny into my 85 Z28 but the new tranny has no bolt holes for the torque arm.
I was wondering what other people have done in this situation?
I see spohn has a torque arm that mounts to a new tranny mount, are there any other alternatives?

damn sorry, my grammar was poor that day.
I meant to say my new tranny has no bolt holes for the stock torque arm to bolt up to. I was wondering what other people have done in this situation.

The 4th gen F-body uses a torque arm so there are holes on the trans casing for a mount...may not be the same pattern as your '85 mount though. I'd hit the place you got the trans from and get the torque arm mount to go with it.

Yea i got the rubber piece from my Camaro.
But the tranny is from a B-body Caprice which had no torque arm, hence no torque arm bolt holes.

Just get a tailshaft housing from an F body 4L60E or 700R4 (they *should* be the same)....easy swap.

Iroc zz3 is correct. They made several different tailshaft housings for 700R4's to fit into many different cars. You just need to go to a trany shop and get the proper tailshaft for a Camaro. (make sure you have the proper gears for the VSS also. Electric or cable- whichever your car has right now, or you will have to swap yours onto it. Cable gear is plastic/electronic gear is metal).
