front fender gap help needed

how can I get the front gap to tighten up on the fenderwheel? the front rims is a 14x7 and the rears are 15x8. rear tires were changed to m&h street radials so the gap there is filled. do I need to cut a coil off spring larger tire? anyone have ideas? I had these rims for awhile so I don't wanna buy "new" rims. thanks

do you want to drop the front end?

get a set of used springs to cut..dont cut yours..(if your into cutting springs)

or go with larger front wheel/tire set..

this is stock springs with 15" wheels and tires.
the fronts are a shorter tire. but you can go almost 2" taller in just the tires.

this is after installing a taller tire. in the back 28.5 tall
they do fit..(small mod)

the sportsmen pro's come out to 29" tall. and fill the rear up fine.. the fronts
you can go up to 27/28" tall also

this is a 26.5 tall tire..NO ENG in car..it would sit 2" lower with eng (forgive the wheel setback) crappy spohn K member was only on car to move it...(was replaced with a UMI k member)

so if I wanted to keep the rim I have what would be a decent size front runner tire that wont look stupid or out of shape. I would like to lower the car or get the tire height correct. smaller rim/wheel kinda killed my vision when purchased years ago. also what backspacing is the best for front ?

Re: front fender gap help needed

whats the car used for?

street cruiser going to work rig

or weekend cruiser hotrod sorta thing

i ask as the width of the front tire comes into play..

if its a daily driver i would stick to tires over 6" wide

if its a weekend hotrod sorta thing then go with a 26 tall 6" nanking (spelling) tire $58 ea good tire i would have to look at other sized tires but i think its the 185 15 i beat on for fronts.. then the MT in pics above are 26x6 radial..they size them that way..

but do shop... i just picked up 2 more 325/50/15 mt drag Radials fri for $390 shipped.. some sort of bidding war on ebay... summit dropped the price from $228.05 a tire to $209.08 a tire. for about 6 hrs and i still got them for less them summit shipped..lol. it pays to shop! its always good to have back up tires..

nanking and MT front tires(to the left in pic) with other MT tires tires are marked 26x6 for the fronts. i know they make larger

Re: front fender gap help needed

it will sound like a pain in the a$$.. but ebay...just know what your looking for... and keep an eye on the free shipping. the last 2 fronts i picked up nanking $116 shipped new fresh tires....

you can do the same on wheels...just know what price ya what to pay....and what ya can pay..to save a $$
this last set of weld rts wheels cost me under $800 shipped new from summit and i got a $100 visa card from weld..
dont be in a rush is a big thing in saving cost

i had summit send out 4 diff makes of wheels new for 2010. never paid for any shipping..even when sending back wheels i did not want..(after looking at)
