I am also in Alliston, I have my car out as my daily but I don't get out your way much. I also have a drag car and I'm interested in your Chevelle. We should meet up sometime this summer.
If you are in Alliston, look for the black Iroc with vette wheels.

There are some pretty interesting vehicles around these parts. I don't think it's as intense as Oshawa/Whitby though. At least not as far as I can remember (Oshawa is my hometown and I'm a Whitby regular).
Then there's always hanging out and drinking beer at the Altered Images chassis shop just down the road from me near Angus. Tom (the owner) has been building drag cars for thirty years (although the pickings have a little slim lately).
Once my heads are back form the shop (I'm giving Howard's Engines in Barrie a first time try), I may actually get to put a few miles on the coupe.
Maybe I'll see you out there.
If you're interested I can post back here once I'm cruising again.

In Barrie there's the Thunder Classics on Wednesdays along the waterfront. Heritage Park I believe. Tuesday has the "Recyled Teeneagers Car Club" car show in the Crappy Tire parking lot in Alliston. Last year (and I forget which day) I actually brought my car and opened the hood at a local cruise night at the southside A&W in Barrie. I think it was a weekend deal.

Re: barrie, inisfill, bradford area??
We're trying to organize a cruise to the Recycled Teenagers event this Tuesday (6th).
One of the local chassis shops, Altered Images has a couple of his clients cars that'll join in. Here's the scoop.
Alliston, Ontario, Recycled Teenagers Classic Car & Truck Club Inc, Canadian Tire, Highway 89 West, 110 Young Street at King Street, 6 pm to Dusk.
We hope to gather at the shop in Baxter (north of Alliston) and drive in as a group.
My car is hardly display worthy but I'll give it a wash and a vacuum and pop the hood I guess.

Gotta unload my toy up till this point first to help pay for fixing up the Formula!

I'll be heading to Borden for a 16 month course sometime... Possibly for next spring, so if you see a black t-top T/A with 16" irocs (hopefully 17" year one snowflakes with C5 brakes) That's me... I'll likely wave at another third gen if I see them.

Cruising the lakeshore in Barrie just about any evening that it's nice out.
Gray 86 Coupe with IROC rims. Says 2.8 on the bumper.

It was cool hooking up with you the other night. You'd have thought you could stand around in a parking lot and bench race for a couple of hours?
The GTA is a great looking ride. Nice job.

Moving down to Borden this week, the car will be a couple weeks behind me... Hoping by the first week in May I'll be able to take it for a drive!
I do need to get the trans rebuilt (no 4th at the moment)... Any good local shops I can trust? I'll be dropping the trans out myself and bringing it to a shop.

I had mine done by dynamic transmissions in Toronto....jane and Wilson at the end of the 400.
I have run bottom 10's with it.
he also does my race car trans as well.
