Scoggin Dickey tpi
I got my Scoggin Dickey TPI vortec manifold to go along with my vortec heads. The stock gasket for the runners is smaller than the ports on the manifold. Will the Edelbrock hi flo gaskets work for me? I'm keeping the stock runners for now if that matters.

I believe the SD manifold is made by Edelbrock. The Edelbrock gaskets should work on it. I used the Edelbrock gaskets with my stock runners.

I use mr gasket 146 for 1.75" runners. They are cheaper than the E gaskets.

Re: Scoggin Dickey tpi
I have a SD360VTPI in my 92 Z28 and looking to install AS&M runners to improve airflow. Anyone have experience with installing AS&M runners on the SD VTPI manifold and will the Edelbrock gaskets work for this install?

Re: Scoggin Dickey tpi
I have that set up. Use the gaskets included with the AZS&M runners. I think I had to slightly clearence parts of the manifold here and there. But it was not very difficult. TPIS has probably the best gaskets for the 1.75 runners. I swapped my egr recently and had bought the MR gasket 146's and the TPIS gaskets. Neither lined up perfect. I took the time to fit/cut/etc so there was no overhang into any of the ports. The MR gasket gaskets would have needed a lot of work to fit properly (just quality control issues) the TPIS needed some help, but were much better for lining up properly. I have not heard any good things about edlebrock's quality as of late.
One recommendation is that you do some porting/cleanup on the SDPC base while you have it apart, there is HP left on the table with the base. (at least port match and cut down the injector boses) between the AZS&M runners and full porting you could easliy see 30 RWHP with tuning. These cars need all the hot rod help/tricks to get the most out of them.

Re: Scoggin Dickey tpi
Thanks for the information on figment and gaskets. I was hoping the runners would just bolt up without modifications. The intake is already installed and I didn't really want to pull it off. How much clearance is required and could it be done with the manifold installed?

Re: Scoggin Dickey tpi
I just opened another set of MR gasket 146 runner gaskets last night and yes, quality control is a bit off these days. Not to mention that they sent 1 lower runner gasket for stock runners.
If i trim the gasket to fit the ports it will only have 1/16th in of a gasket all around the port. Also the plastic pin holes that hold the upper gaskets in place are off quite a bit.

I've had the AS&M runners and SD vortec intake for over twelve years now.
