megashifter woes
Anyone else have their shifter rip out of the floor of their car?
Plus mine has been to 15 transmission shops and they all can't get it to shift into park. It still rolls. Unless they adjust it to where it will only go into overdrive.
Any suggestions?

Re: megashifter woes
Are you using the B&M shift arm, on the trans itself, or just their shifter?

Re: megashifter woes
I have the console megashifter made for our cars.
Just to be able to move the car I mounted it directly to the floorboard now.
Solid mounting , but still can't get into park. It clicks out of reverse but then the car rolls as if in neutral. I got it where I can get into drive and overdrive.
This shifter is a bitch to adjust.

Re: megashifter woes
Does it shift right with the cable disconnected? Did you hook it up per instructions? I did mine and had zero problems with it shifting properly, the only issue is that 5' cable causing more drag than I like. Going to order the 3' one soon. But I have PRND and ratchet with no problems just like I should. Mine does rock a bit in those mounts that are originally there, but not too bad.

Re: megashifter woes
Is the pin removed for the 4 speed action?
IIRC as shipped they come set up for a 3 speed, and you have to remove an E clip and pin so it will go into the next detent/gate/tooth and work with a 4 speed.

Re: megashifter woes
Does the bracket fit the shifter shaft tightly on the trans? If it barely has enough travel to even make it from park to overdrive there is something very messed up with your install. 15 transmission shops can't figure it out? I'd hate to see an actual complicated transmission issue come up!
