yea, but they're $65 for a set. As much as you probably paid for those wires (or at least close).

Are the wires actually "touching" the headers or are you using a wire loom of some sort. I heard Taylor 10mm's are good.

But if you want to resist heat, go with the Jacobs. They resist 2000 degrees.

Or do like I did and get the Accel "armor shield" wires where the wires are wrapped in a metal braid. They're virtually improssible to burn even if they rest on the header.

My Accel 300+ "race" wires were cracking from the heat within a few short weeks of getting them, and they weren't touching anything. Alot of people are having this problem, they're just an inferior product. I put Talyor 8s in the exact same routing and haven't had a single wire go bad yet... I have heard of others running a sleeve that is supposed to help the Accels. Sounds like you've already done the damage and need a new set though, so just buy all new wires but don't waste your money on Accel again. I'm really happy w/ my Taylors...

I use 90 degree boots at the spark plug on all positions and the "Just Made for You" wire looms which work with center bolt valve covers.

I turn the boots so that 1 & 3 come tobether as well as 5-7, 2-4 and 6-8. I tie these pairs together with a nylon tie wrap.

Also, for additional heat protection, you can slip heat sleeves over the wires and tie them in place with safety wire.

I've tried a bunch of wires but the best performance I've gotten is with Jacob's wires. They sit pretty close to the headers but haven't burned.....They certainly get the spark through and no problem with the radio.

I have the Jacob wires and I think they are great. Also, if you happen to burn them or do anything to them, they'll replace them for free. Gotta love the life time warranty!!

Funny, i've never burnt a plug wire in my entire life. My philosophy has always been...take an extra minute before you start it up to make sure everything is ok. Seems to work for me.
...ed
ps. And yes, my last camaro did have headers.
