Hooker Super Comp. Headers?
How well do they fit? I bought a set of Hedman long tube headers and you couldn't get them on without a hammer and a few prybars. I have a 92 Camaro with a 383 and need some breathing for it, I don't want short tubes. Any info is appreciated.

Car: 2005 Subaru STI
Engine: 153ci of Turbo Power!
Transmission: 6-Speed
FWIW - I just test-fit the hooker PN2210 1-3/4" Long Tube headers. I marked about 4 places on the k-member that need some SLIGHT grinding. Truth is - the headers fit without grinding. But, it was REALLY close at several points and I don't want to worry about rattles. Rattles drive me insane. So, I will be doing some SLIGHT clearancing in order to prevent the little rattling noises that I was sure would arise.

Dont get them. I hate them. Every bump that you hit will scrape tham and it will cost you a fortune to custom bend a pipe to go to the rear of the car. They cost me a total of 700 with the custom pipe (came out like crap and is only 2.5"), not to mention many hours of putting them in (day), putting out a fire on my starter, cleaning up all the fluid from my oil cooler after the hose got burned, rerouting my cooler hose, and thermal taping all my wires. The engine runs real hot. Im selling mine for SLPs.

Car: '87 IROC

Transmission: 700-R4
Mine don't scrape at all, and my IROC is stock height. If your car is lowered or has tired springs and hangs a little low you may scrape occaisionally. My personally have not scraped a damn thing with my car adn I went over quite a few speedbumps. It's my ladder bar setup that scrapes on my driveway only, LOL
BTW, I also had to slightly clearance the passenger side k-member (but my k-member is modified so I had to do a lil bit more than anyone else would have had to), and I already had an LT1 starter that's smaller than thirdgen starters anyway.

You have a point there. Maybe it is because my car is a trans am. I do not know how much difference there is between an Iroc and GTA. My car does seem kinda low though.
