WTF!...I sent him an email and he sent this back

What do you mean? This electric supercharger is patented and the manufacturer is E-Ram. If you don't believe the item here is the manufacturer website www.electricsupercharger.com ... This item does work and people have tried it on their own cars. Even dynoed it to make sure the claims are true. Ask people that own MR2, Impreza, Lincoln, and other Camaro owners. All of them had tried it and had good results.

Car: Camaro of course
I think it might make ya a little faster. The concept is ok, i mean it does the same thing a suprecharger does, but since it's electric it only pushes 3psi (or at least that what I think it said. If it does push that air, than it would help. It isnt anything like classic blower that puts out alot more air, but hey if it gives you 3psi, for 300 bucks than amybe all the kind of people who dont have $$$ might benefit form one. Just my 2 cents

3psi on a super small briggs and straton 1hp engine at idle maybe but more like negative pressure (restriction or vacuum) will happen since the piece of junk won't be able to spin fast enough for any decent sized motor let alone one that is already making 100hp before 2000rpm!!! It's just a dumb idea that's been tried before.
If it does work don't you think engineers would have something like this on stock wimpy cheap cars?!?!?!?!

And half of your dyno fee? Since when was a real dyno fee a $100.00? More like $200-300.00. (but YOU only get $50.00).

AND, you're supposed to gain 17.5 HP on a 350HP engine huh? All from a driver cooling fan used in NASCAR and TransAm chassis'....

In no way im I supporting this product. Ok now that I've got that out, the actual physics and mechanics of the "E-Ram" are sound, its just, they aren't large enough or make enough power or pressure to really boost you when you need it. If you are really looking for a lot more air flow, you get a real blower, not some 1 p.s.i. crap. It's kind of like those carb and TBI spacers, their design works, but there is not enough of it to really get that much done, except the spacers actually are pretty good.

Most dynos around here are $75-100.

the one that will be at Thirdgen Nationals '03 will be $50 for 3 pulls.

It's a 12 volt bildge fan (boat), am I right? If you really want one, go to your local boat store. There not cheap being marine stuff, but not the amout their charging. I paid about 50 bucks (500cfm) for the one I used on a racing jet ski years ago. I would think a R/C airplane ducted fan would work better LOL...run the pipe of the little twostroke RC engine's through the hood, the white smoke might make people think your purging a nitrous system LOL

there's one problem though, it can't even be called a supercharger! Even if it does blow sufficient air to the engine to make and difference, which I highly doubt, it is acting more like a ram air setup then a supercharger. A supercharger is designed to compress the air then blow it to the engine. The engine is getting larger amounts of air, but not necissarly at a higher velocity. That's the idea behind boost, hence why it's refered to as psi, and not cfm! that's why a bigger blower will generally, (not always, depends on engine requirments) will make more power, not because it is making more boost, but because it's pushing more volume of air. You'd be better off building your self nearly a free ram air setup then buying this import joke part!
