Blueprint brand Engines

I was looking around Jeg's website today and noticed they had some new crate engines on their website. They are called Blueprint Engines and have a 2 year warranty. One of them claims 405 HP and comes with everything even the intake manifold; only $2899.99. They even say their dyno'd and come with the dyno sheets. Maybe I misread something, but that sounds like a deal.

Here's a link to the page. Just look under Blueprint Engines.

the two 355's listed above the 383 were $4k and $5K.. I think it may have been a typo, seemed too good to be true.

I don't think it's a typo. The more expensive motors are roller engines and they have forged parts as well.

The 385 HP one sounds like the one I might go with. I'm gonna give Jegs a call and see if when they say dyno if that means that engine has been dynoed and broken in or if an engine just like that one was dynoed and made xxx amount of HP.

Blueprint Engines are built by Marshall Engines in Kearney Ne. All Blueprint are dynoed and come with a true dyno sheet. If you are thinking about buying one check your local parts stores and see if they handle Marshall Engines.(Should be the same price as Jeggs and a local company). A lot of NAPA stores, but not all, handle Marshall Engines.

i bought a 355 base engine and it came with a dyno sheet i called them up for a few questions and they told me mine is 385 horse with a edelbrock 750 one inch.after asking what cam they put in it i took it out.they use a special grind with a 480-488 lift.they told me it isnt a choppy cam so i put in a compcam xe 268 all msd and a speed demon 650 hopefully it will be in before the summer is over.having a tpi you have to buy alot of parts

Blueprint Engines have been around for a while. I remember about 5 years ago I saw an advertisement for them on like the speed channal or something and looked on their website. I was amazed at the low prices of their engines but never really thought about them again until I saw them on Jegs.

I saw their poster while I was at Napa yesterday. I am still impressed with their price after reading what goes into them.

Anyone new info on these guys? Ive decided to skip the Pontiac motor swap and stick with a SBC. Looking at the Blueprint 405HP 383ci Vortec Heads(base model).

i bought the 355 base last year for 2,400 from carquest they went up in price probably because of popularity.if you look at there specs they have a really beefy bottom end.i wanted the 383 but i thought for a few extra horses it was a better price for the 355.i changed out the cam and put a comp cam xe268
