Summit racing custom ECM chip
summit racing offers a custom ECM chip for around 350 or so. all you have to do is call up and give the techs very specific info and they will send a new chip for your ECM that will be better. Right now im running a stock ECM from a 305HO 4bbl on a higly moded 356, will minimal sensors. so i know im choking the motor.
Anyone have experience with this chip and is it worth it?

If its a copy of the ZZ4 chip and its not real pricey (like < $30) then it would be worth it.

How much is the chip. I have heard the new chips help your shift points out, let alone advance your timing.
I also heard that it makes no difference on an 1986 or earlier.
1987 and later have seen good results. The ZZ4 chip is no longer available. So what chip would be comparable to that chip as well?

If your gonna spend that much money for a chip that is just optimized, but not necessarily for your engine, go to DIY Fuel-Injection Tools:
Created by an EFI enthusiast for EFI enthusiasts like you! : Moates.Net and get a programmer / ostrich or something. Save some money and tune it your self better.

My engine has a 4bbl carb on it. The most if built from the ground up, not just bolt ins. My problem is im using the rochester 4bbl which is computer controled and it is running very rich. i do have an oxygen sensor, but that is about the only sensor that is running through the computer, the rest are direct to the guage. I would like to get a custome chip that adjusted A/F mixture soley upon the readings from the oxygen sensor and timming. I custom chip would be great if it were created from dyno results, but i dont know of any chassis dynos in the Newyork/ Ct area. let me know what you all think
