If your lights are in good condiction you can scuff then with a red sctoch brite and apply very (light) coats of black until you get them as dark as you want them then take them to any body shop and they will clear them for little to nothing I know this because I have a shop and have done it in the past I charge 10 bucks to clear something like that

Re: DEPO Smoked Parking Lights and Side Markers
i ordered the smoked depo parking lights... worst thing i ever did.
received only smoked bulbs and clear lenses.. they were not bright at all, (since they dont have the reflectors in them like oem) even tried non smoked bulbs and it looked the same. They also had a toy like appearance, very cheap looking.
i dont recommend them to anyone, ur better off shelling the extra cash for oem replacements trust me!

Re: DEPO Smoked Parking Lights and Side Markers
I made a small review with pictures in my thread. I want to add that I really don't like ANY lights on ANY car that uses a diffuser rather than a reflector to disperse the light. Which makes me a little biased towards these light.
The unbiased version: I am disappointed in the overall finish. When you look at them up close they are slightly warped and have a couple blemish's. They also leave a somewhat significant gap between the lense and body (~.25") over the stock lenses.

I have the clear version of these lights and honestly couldnt be happier with them. Not sure what everyone else's problem is with them but I personally like them and would recommend them.

Re: DEPO Smoked Parking Lights and Side Markers
Specially the clear version, i can understand the appeal of a smoked version. The clear ones are not bright at all and the chrome finish they have on the inside gives them a toy/fake light appearance.
sure its half price, but u also get half the quality of a stock piece.
everyone has different tastes, so if it works for you then cool..but these lights are just not up to par with my fogged up 25 yr old parking lamps..even in the condition they are in.. they are still much brighter and better looking.

Re: DEPO Smoked Parking Lights and Side Markers
Hey DBB, If you have some fabrication skills I'll point you towards a cheap mod for the driving lights. Me and another member have done something similar.
Haven't messed with the side markers yet, but the driving lights maintain their function afterwards. Best part is you retain the stock housings.
Check it out

PS. I hate amber/yellow anywhere on my car; It just doesn't look right IMO

Re: DEPO Smoked Parking Lights and Side Markers
For that price use your stock ones and paint them.
The trick is to mix black paint in with the clear.
there is an idea of what mine look like. I even did the yellow ones up front. It took 14 coats...but I got them to match the rears lol!! And YES you can see them perfectly at night.
