Braided Stainless Dipstick Opinions

I want to get a braided stainless dipstick. I have found several manufacturers with a wide range of prices. The dipsticks all look very similar. Does anyone have any experience with any of these. The most expensive one is about $60 and the cheapest is < $20. Is it worth it to spend the extra $$$ for Lokar?

I've never had any of the cheaper ones, but I do have a Lokar dipstick and have zero complaints about it. Oil level is spot on and it has never leaked.

I bought a cheaper one on Ebay that was not name brand. Looked very nice and solid. Once I installed it it was to short as the handle was right next to the exhaust manifold. Then after two or three pulls the handle seperated from the stick. Put the factory one back in. Stick to a name brand.

i also have the cheap-O version. like what IROCmenace said, looks and feels great, but the oil level is off. Mine fit good as i have headers. I'll get a LOKAR piece later, but this one just works for right now. The seller i bought it from was "rhjonescompany".

I got the Lokar one as well. I kinda wish I bought the new black one though, just think it would look nicer.

Lokar makes one specific to the DART Little M Block. Fits like a glove.

Re: Braided Stainless Dipstick Opinions

Im running a cheap ebay one and have had no problems with it. The only flaw in the design is that the internal portion (the stick itself) has a little wiggle room so it isnt exactly 100% accurate compared to a stock style.
