There are nine hurst dual gate 2s on eBay for sale I just bought one and its on the way and its prob the last 9 because of how hard they are to find parts for they are bein produced by the parts place!

research the shifter,
the parts place bought all of the leftover parts for the dual gate shifters
now they are piecing together complete shifters and selling for a premium

at one point two members on here were trying to have the shifter reproduced, one contacted the parts place, the other contacted private businesses,
i don't think anything ever came of that except the reproduction shift plate you can find on ebay(i could be wrong here)


as much as i love this shifter, and would love to have one in my car, Spending even $300 on a shifter is outrageous in my mind, max i would pay would be around $250, maybe someone will produce a shifter that resembles a dual gate at a better price point one day.

No it's all original top plate and parts they got from the left over stock but the way I look at it five hundred for a peice that not a lot of ppl have ain't bad but I have a little prob buyin some then no matter how depending on rarity and avalibity

These aren't new in box shifters, they are "new" pieced together shifters, yes original parts, but no way they should sell for $500

Everyone knew "the parts place" bought all of the original stock of shifter parts, meaning they more than likely have enough to build quite a few shifters(Hurst wasn't building these things one at a time)

The parts place is simply selling a few at a time to keep the "rarity" of the shifter and the price sky high


Not knocking your purchase, it is a great shifter, selling at the price NOS ones sell for, and I do dream of owning one, good luck with it and post pictures of the install!
