Moroso Throttle Return Spring Kit P/N64927

Moroso Throttle Return Spring Kit P/N64927
(Several companies manufacture this "arm" style kit; all include what appears to be similar parts.)
Instructions are nearly non-existent so imagination is required.
So is the kit a direct fit for my 4160 Holley Street Warrior (0-80457S)? Not perfectly. The bracket is designed to mount on the front carb stud with a spacer under the bracket, but a common 1 1/2" stud doesn't present enough length to accommodate the bracket. The bracket is also designed to use the rear throttle stop solenoid threaded hole, but if the 1/4-20 x 5" hex bolt is used, the bracket hole must be drilled to 9/32". Since the front stud wasn't of sufficient length, I drilled a second 9/32" hole and used both throttle stop solenoid holes and their original fasteners to mount the bracket.
With Moroso's hardware, I placed the springs/spring bracket in the large upper throttle linkage hole, which fit nicely, but my dropped base air cleaner interfered with the top spring.* Again with Moroso's hardware, I attempted to install in another throttle linkage hole, but the 1/4-20 x 1.375 bolt diameter was too large for the hole in the throttle cable. In the end I used a few parts from the company's hardware and rigged what I needed.
Parts I used:
Carburetor bracket
Spring bracket
2.5" springs
1 washer
2 stepped bushings
1 locknut
Parts I didn't use:
1 of the washers
The spacer (which isn't mentioned in the parts list)
The 1/4-20 x 5" hex bolt
The 1/4-20 x 1.375" bolt (some photos show this as a black socket bolt)
1 of the stepped bushings
The 10-24 x .75 socket bolt
The 2.75" springs
* Note that the tang on my old 4160 would prohibit using the kit in that location even without a drop base.
Though the lack of instructions and my detours were annoying, I'm content with how the bracket functions. By the way, the softer (shorter) springs are perfect for that OE feel. Though fitment for my application was lacking, your experience may be better—but be prepared for some fiddling.
