That's a shame, i was hoping to come into this thread and see the issue resolved. As in you receiving the parts in the mail but thats not the case.

Its been what 5 months since you made this thread and this STILL has not been resolved? Even still you have to accept emblems instead of a full refund which is bullshit in my opinion.

TPI383(Chris) you really should be ashamed of yourself.

Re: Chris / TPI383 - CE Coatings Review

My excuse is I just havent bothered to dig out a emblem thats a keychain. I've been To busy looking for another house/land to buy. I'll get around to it some day when I unpack all the **** that was in the same office the emblems were in.

BTW Brick,Remember Sayin your runners wernt crackd when I TOLD YOU BEFORE ANY WORK WAS STARTED.......... Your FULL OF S**T !!

This is a e-mail and PM I got about the SLP Runners you sold on ebay....

Quote:
OR, by email:

This is the message:

Hi, I am new to this board so I hope you get this!!
Anyways, I bought THE polished SLP runners on Ebay from Mr.Brisk back in the beginning of Oct. 2007 for $500 cdn. In his ebay ad it stated that runners and plemium polish were WORN FROM USE and still had lots of use to them, but said nothing about cracks in runners(which I checked and are there!!) I wish I read thread on TGO before I bought and left pos feedback!!
Well, $500 for runners, and $400 worth of ss badges= $900, I think he has more than got his FULL REFUND!
It' seems funny that 4 months after he sold runners he knew were CRACKED, that he still wants refund from you??
Anyways, it's been too long since Ebay listing, so I can't prove what listing said, But I know I got screwed and it looks like you are headed down same road, which is too bad, espacially when he is a fellow Canadain(we are not all like this)
Name deleted in case he doesn't want this posted.....

Ive sold over a Dozen Sets of those emblems for WAY more then the refund he asked for. So he got a deal and 1/2.

He asked for em and got em. Its not my problem what he does or doesnt get out of them. Ive sold em anywhere from raw billet emblems for $125 to the chrome for Over $400. I'm waiting on a handfull more from my cnc guy also.

edit. cuz its not worth the BS...

Re: Chris / TPI383 - CE Coatings Review

You want the story on what I did with the parts after I got them back from you? Ok, I have nothing to hide and I've been truthful throughout this whole affair;

I bought the parts used from a fellow member here on TGO quite some time ago for $500. After recieving the parts I hand ported the runners and did some clean up and additional porting on the 'mega' ported plenum. I installed all the parts on my car and ran them for a season, fine and without problems. The top flange on the runners (or was it the bottom?) do have a hair line imperfection on them almost more of a casting issue, and were present from the day I bought them. They seal fine without leaks or problems and are not the grand canyon cracks you've made them out to be, and from what I can recall they are not visible when installed either.

When the season ended, I removed the parts and I thought it would look great to have them professionally polished and powder coated, we all know how that turned out.

After having the parts returned from you, I reinstalled them and ran them for the remainder of the season... again without problems. However I opted to sell the parts because of bad karma and the bad feelings I had attached to these pieces since you did work on these parts. So I sold them on ebay for $500.

So lets review, I bought the parts for $500. I hand ported the runners and cleaned up and did some additional porting on the 'mega' ported plenum ($XXX affix additional price here for porting services). I ran them for a season. I paid $XXX for services to have the parts polished and powder coated. I ran them for a couple months (IE - worn from use). I sold the parts for $500, parts that work and function 100% but don't have a quality powder coating or polishing job on them. In this case I think the buyer and the seller got a fair deal, where I got taken advantage of in the middle for services performed by you. If the ebay buyer feels he was taken advantage of, feel free to PM me and we can discuss it.

The key chain I'm still waiting for it AFTER you said it has already been mailed, funny how your story changes to fit your mood or circumstances.

For the emblems you sent me which you said where your "show" pieces that you used on display are disgusting, I'd be embarrased to use those as show pieces. I can't find a buyer for $200 shipped even though you claim you've sold identical pieces for more then twice that.

He asked for the emblems because he knew you would never refund him his money! Get a clue man he doesn't WANT your emblems its the choice he had to go with because it was either the emblems or NOTHING. He wanted a refund that he knew he wasn't going to get so at least your emblems could make up part of the cost and aggravation that this trailed on for months. Hence why they are for sale...

Now your relying on some ebay add to throw out as your excuse. Really man GET A CLUE, he paid you for a service and he did not receive the service he wanted. YOU screwed up here, no one else so take the fault for it.

"My emblems are worth blah blah compared to his cracked runners"

And you are right....it is sad, especially when company advertising on this board does not act professional and take acr of its customer.

Re: Chris / TPI383 - CE Coatings Review

I see people have not done any research before dealing with Chris/TPI383. This guy is a joke and had my parts for 6 month(s) before returning them. He will give you more excuses than you can shake a stick at. Customer service is bullshit at best. I would NEVER recommend or send anything to him. Bad business decision to deal with him and all the excuses he has come up with. He can write an excuse book and rake in Oprah type money.

BTW: After the aweful experience with him he sent me a $100 gift certificate that still in the box with the items I sent to him. Pay someone else a little more money and be happy to avoid the nonsense and fustration of dealing with him...
DO a before dealing with Chris/TPI383, you will be glad you did...
no pun

Here is the link of my mishap:
http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/af...tml?highlight= (Chris@CECoatings.com)

All this because I was trying to save a little money between Chris TPI383 & ebmiller88 ... Boy did I make a Bad decision with my Spindles, Hubs in selecting the right person. Chris talks a great game.
ebmiller- I should have paid the extra $90.00 and received less headache without the six month wait, plus he did not return my exact hubs that I wanted turned down for C-5 Brakes Setup. Also had the same excuse about outsourcing and the lathe/machine was breakin all his bits.
