Re: good fellas trans?

I know a while back there was a thread about cheap e-bay trannys and how a lot of people got f*cked on em.. one guy said the company changed their name to good fellas but then the owner of goodfellas chimed in and said he wasn't the same guy.. so who knows.. havn't heard anyone with a difinitive answer to if it was the same scammer or not..

Re: good fellas trans?

I'll tell you this much... The site layout is the exact same as the guy who was scamming with the exceptions of

a. You can't find a picture of the guy on this site like you could with the old site.

b. All of the actual images are different

So yes, the site LOOKS completely different, but it's made with the exact same template as the old one. But hey, that might just mean they bought the same pre-made template to make a site with. Just thought I'd point it out.

Re: good fellas trans?

We block off the 1,2,3,4 accumulators to give you a solid, firm, and crisp shift. We discard the springs in the accumulator to eliminate problems associated with springs breaking.
This is the wrong way to get firmer shifts. Yeah they will be crash bang shifts. This is the old school 1980s B&M kit way to make the shifts hard.

Re: good fellas trans?

Be very careful. I bought my 700r4 from maddog trans and they went bankrupt. Come to find out now that they werent putting the parts that they said they were, sometimes not even rebuilding them. I bought the punisher that was rated to 700hp. It hasnt failed yet, BUt I dont know now whats inside or if i was a lucky one that got what i paid for, There are websites out there just slamming them. ask around your local spped shops or drag strips theyll point you in the right direction.

Re: good fellas trans?

You need to SERIOUSLY take a looke at Pro-Built (Dana). Do a search on here and you'll see just how good he is. Take the time to search...

Re: good fellas trans?

Just read through the Pro-Built post right beneath yours. When it comes to getting a good 700r4, this is definitely one of the times where the saying "you get what you pay for" seriously applies. Besides that, if you contact Dana from Pro-Built over the phone, he'd probably be willing to help set you up with a more affordable "kit" for your particular trans since it sounds like you don't need one that's totally bulletproof. He's very helpful and real easy to talk to. I don't personally know if "goodfellas" transmissions are as bad as "maddog" was, but since the prices are about the same, I wouldn't feel very confident on that one.

Re: good fellas trans?

Hello,

My name is John and I am the owner of Goodfellas Transmissions. I build a bullet proof transmission at a bullet proof price. Every part I advertise to be in my product is and I challenge anyone to buy one and open it up. I back all my products 100%. I have customers all over the United States and around the world. I have video proving that I test drive every unit before shipping. I will even video tape your transmission getting built. Here are a few things to look at.

When I did my old 700-R4, I think I spent about as much as what he is charging for the complete trans just on parts alone.

Re: good fellas trans?

For you people on here asking about the link on Cameros.. It is about exposing Maddog Transmissions which is now Outlaw Transmissions. Obviously I am the owner of Goodfellas.. I have it posted in this thread, but I was unfairly recongonized as Maddog Transmission. I went to great lengths to find this information. He messed over alot of people, and they posted forums on the guy and his business. Now that I have the trutrh I wanted to bring it to the light. I have his old customers calling me all the time looking for him.. It doesn't matter where they bought the transmission or how much they paid for it. They had confidence in somebodies product, and got screwed over unfailry. I am just trying to set the record straight. I don't think my business should have to suffer ill effects from some other guy. Especially when I produce a quality product at a quality price. I again say I challenge any of you to try my product, and see what you think! I gurantee you will be impressed in every way shape and form.

Sounds like a fair way for a company to show that it stands behind its product.

Don't go with a follower go with the Leader! A lot of these shops have been trying to copying me including Mad Dog's, they copied my packaging, Copied the font I choose for my business name, stole pictures, and some are now trying to offer a DVD (my idea) no one else in the industry had this when I stated my shop G-Men Transmissions. I was the first to Crate my transmissions, and the first to offer a DVD of the transmission as it was being built, to show my customer everything I put in the units, and they are getting what they paid for and expected. I even choose the name G-Men Transmission, after the government men who went after the mobsters, and OUTLAWS. We have been on ebay Mar-01-06 feel free to contact my customers, call me, or stop by the shop. We also offer a money back guarantee, which no one yet has wanted their money back. Re: good fellas trans?

Now who is this character? Roflmao...what the h*ll is this cheap tranny wars? You can send a DVD and I can watch all the parts you put in my tranny but what I cant watch is all the parts you take out and replace with stock parts before you ship it...if it is even the same tranny! You probably got 100 dvd's showing the same build for every customer...I am not actually saying you actually do but you could have right? Oh this guy wants a manual valve body go get a Manual Valve Body dvd. I would not trust any of ya'll unless I could come to your shop and watch it get built with my very own peepers or unless you had an outstanding reputation.

Re: good fellas trans?

No cheap transmissions here. I do not have hundreds of pre-recorded videos, I stamp the customers name in the case and show it on the video. as far as taking the parts out after video, I don't think so! you can pull any of my units apart and see all the parts first hand. I am an honest shop, and my reputation speeks for it's self. contact past customers, see what they think. NO BS here. We say as we do, and do as we say.

Re: good fellas trans?

No cheap transmissions here. If I pulled out high performance parts and replaced then with stock when the unit is being installed in a high horse power vehicle, the unit would last a day with say 600hp. As far as having hundreds of pre-recorded videos I stamp the customers name in the case and show it on the video. I am an honest shop with a reputation that speaks for itself, contact my customers and you'll hear it for yourself. We have nothing to hide you could in fact come to the shop and watch your transmission being built. We do as we say and say what we do. Last but no least search the internet you'll find some of my customer and other information about me that I didn't post.

No trans brakes available for the 700's; only fullmanual reverse pattern valvebodies in both engine braking and non-engine braking.

G-Men is not mentioned in this thread nor do I ever intend to be on any thread with negitive feedback. I see you are not to far from me maybe 6hrs, I invite you anytime at my shop. You are also welcome to cotact my customers, I have several on ebay and some more on my site under customer testimonials. I also have been offering my customers a DVD of the build with their name stamped in the case, so they can see everything they paid for going into their transmission. I don't enjoy being ripped off, so I'd never rip someone off.

Re: good fellas trans?

I'm closing this thread to as really this has been talked about thoroughly in the two threads. Everyone has expressed their views. Obviously if a new problem comes up with any company, post a new thread...but this one has served its purpose.

I am still an advocate of Pro-Built and suggest anyone looking for a transmission do a search on TGO concerning all of these companies including Pro-Built.
