It's about this little boy's ego now. He sees this as me "beating" him and having the last word. Since from his Facebook page and Google photo of his real address he appears to be a 135-lb unemployed teenager who lives in a crackhouse and sells junk on Ebay, this is one of the very few ways he thinks he can be a "winner"... by stealing money from someone a thousand miles away and cowardly trying to hide his identity.

I reported most of his harassing emails to Ebay. I'm disappointed they haven't done anything about him... but they might yet.

Just don't respond and let the case take it's course. People like this thrive on the drama. Not playing in to it hurts him more than anything you can say. You got your money and won the case, that's all you need to know.

I was going to block his User ID on Ebay but, to be honest, I got a kick out of those "such my fat d!ck" emails so I don't want to miss anything else entertaining he might send me. I don't want to wrestle with a pig though, so I don't allow myself to get drawn into that childishness with him. I just tell him to stop emailing me and that's enough to dent his fragile ego and elicit a response so he can have the last word.

This is probably the stupidest person I have ever dealt with online.

Appeal to what? I don't see how he could. eBay is the Judge, Jury, and executioner so to speak.. Once the appeal (case) is opened, and closed by them their word is final. The only OTHER action that you can take after eBay lays down their fist of justice would be to reverse the charges IF paid by credit card.. Him being the seller in this case, this doesn't apply because he didn't "purchase". At least that's my understanding, being a seller for many years, once a claim was awarded against me (wrongfully) I was SOL. eBay goes out of it's way to protect the buyer.

Not that I can tell. There's no sign of it in my Ebay or PayPal accounts. Since then I forwarded each of his harassing emails to the Ebay complaints department, along with his messages somewhat acknowledging it was a scam auction. I don't think he can get anywhere with it.

If it's even possible for him to appeal, you wouldn't see ANY sign of it. AS it would be done from his banks end of things. IF the bank would even go after ebay which I doubt, they have the proof and the right to take the money out of his account, it's in the disclaimer he signed for being a seller. Also, IF somehow this scammer won his banks claim against eBay, the money would from from eBay and not you.

Definitely what I would do. They always side with the buyer if a dispute is filed. I know this because I sold a brand new in box MSD box that I ended not using on my build. When the buyer tried to hook it up to his car he fried it somehow. Filed a complaint with Paypal to get his money back because he said I sold him a bad item. They sided with him and took money out of my paypal account to pay him back. I was angry at the decision but the person I talked to at Paypal said they will almost always side with the buyer.

Good to see you coming out on this.

I had an interesting run with ebay stuff a couple of years back. In short, I had just sold a 95 v6 camaro with 208k. 4 days later it shows up on ebay for $3500 with "recently rebuilt engine and transmission". You have to watch out.

That's good to see. I told him to just give me a refund and take the return or he'd end up losing the case anyway and possibly get his account closed. He was more interested in swearing at me than doing that. I'm glad Ebay took care of him.
