SR alternator bracket
I was looking at how the Sr will install on my 87' motor and noticed that the alternator bracket is tied to the lower front runner bolt on the TPI (passenger side).
Does anyone have a picture of a bracket that would work there?
Also wondering how the A/C bracket will work out. Looks like it "might" work.
Any info would be appreciated.
TIA,
JP

I had no issues with either of them when I put the SR on my 91 Formula....

I can already see that the alternator won't work with the 87' style that connects on the passenger side TPI runner at the base.
Maybe I'll dig through your posts, i know you have some pics in there somewhere andsee what the bracket you have looks like.
The A/C still might work but it'll be close.
Duh!, I just notices you have a Super Ram, I'm going with the Steath ram.
Oh well, I'll keep looking anyway.
Thanks,
Jp

The stock bracket will work with that tab cut off and a new one welded on to reach the front manifold to block bolt on that side. I can't find any pics right now, but I have seen it done rather easily.
All you do is cut the manifold tab off of the bracket, mock the bracket up using the water pump bolt and the one to the alternator, then you can use mild steel 1/8" flat stock from Home Depot to connect the bracket to the front manifold bolt on that side.
Just be sure to not put on the belt while you're fabbing it up, otherwise it would pull the bracket slightly out of alignment and you don't want that to happen...
