SuperRam porting gain improvements?

Can any one tell me what kind of gains they realized on a complete porting of the SuperRam base, and runners? Preferably on a 400+ cube engine?

Thanks. Tom

Which wheels? The front ones? Also, are you sure its not 28, and 37?

You will only pick up 40% of the gain through the front wheels.

I doubt that anyone has a good comparison for you. All I can tell you is that my ported SR pulled 340 RWHp in my 395 cu.in. stroker. see sig for more details.

I do not have a good before and after answer for you. I made multiple changes.

Thanks doc. I have an unported one on a 436. The base was modified to mate to the large ports of the Track 1 heads, but as far as the runners go, they are as cast. Just wondering if it would be worth the effort. Just trying to get every bit of power I can from my combo.

I recall John Lingenfelter telling me that a fully ported SuperRam was worth 20 HP. I never asked about torque or at what rpm.

Call LPE directly for some direct information.

20hp over unported? I though the SR only added 20hp or so over a Modified LTR. SO like 40+ over a modified LTR? ( I know it depends on combo) but that really sounds like alot, and no I'm not saying that it can't be true.

I was hoping to get some real numbers from a regular guy. Alot of times the large companies(not all of them) will tell you what you want to hear, just to sell their product. I would assume that the gains,(if any) would be more noticable on a large engine, over a 350, or 383.
