I'd like to see how others have done the lt1 swap and how they placed their t-stat houseings.

Engine: t\a motor 355 lt1 intake, t56,the works, 89 roc 427 sbc tt project
Transmission: to many to list
Axle/Gears: 9bolt 4:10 in the T/A
here is mine, i mounted it were the ac compressor used to be.

that looks great!

but unfortunatly thats where my alternator is but you gave me an idea. I bet i could make it work in the spot wher ethe ac is now deleted in my own car.

Axle/Gears: Dana 44, 3:45:1
Here's one I've done. Note, thats a CS144 alternator, not your standard CS130, and it has a different extension bracket and brace. I imagine a similar setup could be installed with a CS130 setup though.

what did you use to protect the coolant lines from the heat from the headers?

They don't affect them much if at all... No problems with overheating at all, we did end up wrapping the fuel lines in some protective covering, but the coolant lines also route far enough to the back before crossing over that they don't really get heat soaked much.

mine are also far enough away so not to melt. i ran the line for the pas side in between the valve cover and the alt, and the drivers goes back and around the valve cover and between the wiper motor and valve cover, then along the frame rail.

did one of yours melt?
