Yep, those are the size they came with stock, 245/50-16 goodyear gatorbacks. You can put on 255's without any problems, maybe a slight rub when you turn your wheel lock to lock from what I've heard.

255's in rear, 245's in front.
My personal opinion is 225's are too narrow in width.
A 245/45 will have the same height as a 225 with a wider footprint.
If you want a higher rear then go with 255/50.
If you want the front lower than stock use 245/45's
The 245/50's will keep the front looking stock.

where in Mo are you?
I sell tires up here in NW Ill area and could get you a pretty reasonable deal on a set of SZ50's or GY Eagle GS-C's, also have a set of Michelin Pilots.
Staying with the stock size will work fine, especially since you're going with a Good tire.
I've done quite a few adjustments on BFG tires and am hesitant to recommend them based on slipping quality issues.

I bought a set of 245-50-16 Fisk Phantom's from discount tire for about $90 a piece, and they stick alot better than the firehawks I had before, I'd check them out.
Anyone else ever had any good/bad experience with them?

Stick with a Name Brand
Not to knock those Fisk Phantoms, but who in the HECK is Fisk??
At least Firestone is a major name people recognise.
The Firehawk line is made up of many different tire styles and levels of Performance, just as you can get a Firebird with many different engine options..
The SS10 & SS20 are entry level, The SH30 is a step up to an HR rated tire, The SVX is another step up to VR, and the SZ50 is the top of the line ZR rated "***** Out" tire.
Bridgestone makes the Potenza RE730 which is priced reasonably for a ZR rated tire, and they have a good treadwear, so they won't wear out fast.
If I'm spending $90.00 already it's not much more of a leap to get a better Quality tire for another $20.00 or so.
You get what you pay for!!
