Do you have a love hate relationship with the looks of your thirdgen?
Sometimes I look at my car, and I dislike the paint, and lack of ground effects. Other days I look at my car and think it looks cool without the ground effects and also end up liking the color, especially when I wax my car.
I still can't decide how I want my car to look. I wanted to add groundeffects, but now I think I changed my mind again. I just can't seem to commit to doing anything for sure.
I always see another thirdgen and want to do my car that way, then I see a different thirdgen and want my car to look like that one.
You guys have similiar issues, or am I the only one?

Not really, sometimes I get mad when I wash the car and I see all the blemishes. But it sure looks good in pictures

I do it too. I picture a Z28 high-rise spoiler on my car, that looks awesome on another car, and think that it would look good on my car. Then I see the spoiler from another angle and remove the idea completely from my head. Same with the "no spoiler" idea... it looks good on some cars, and from some angles, and I can sometimes picture it looking good on my car. It's weird.
Other times, it's more of the car's actual lines that get to me. In some pictures, the front end looks amazing from certain angles. Other times, it looks squished and out of proportion. Then, I see the car in person and all of my qualms go away. I actually think I have more of a problem with *pictures* of my car, versus seeing it in person. After all, there's nothing like the real thing .

Yeah....
I love the way my car looked when it went into the garage.
I hate the way my car looked when it came out of the garage.

Its not meant to be that kind of thread. I just see other people's thirdgens and see how they are so cool one way, and then I want to make my thirdgen look like thiers. This happens almost everytime I see another thirdgen.
So now I am back to where I started 3 years ago
What color should I go with?
What wing should I get?
Gfx, no gfx?
Hood?
The only thing I am committed on keeping is my GTA wheels.

I used to feel that way before I rebuilt/painted the exterior of the car and got all the drivetrain bugs worked out last summer. Sience then, I love it! :hail:

I hated looking at my wrecked thirdgen when it was sitting in my back yard...it made me wanna cry. But now i got another one, and i love it more and more every day. If your not too sure about something then dont waste your money on it..unless its just really cheap and you can get it back...

I do the same thing. I look at my car and think I want different wheels, lower it. Then I see how good everything flows and leave it the same. Im sure some stuff will get done though.

I get so many compliments about how my Iroc looks so good, and a lot of that is because It looks stock, but is VERY clean. I like the stock look, as many of you know, but some days I get itch to throw some 17's or 18's on, and drop it to the ground. I see a lot of you with mods that I think look cool, but just don't fit the "stock" look that I'm going after. Idealy I'd have 2 thirdgens, my stock Iroc, and a fully modified all out street machine. Until that day, my Iroc will do just fine!!!

I like keeping older high end models original since they are so few left but I do appreciate customized cars just the same.
What color should I go with? if different color go with something nobody or hardly anybody else has.
What wing should I get? '91-92 Z wing.I haven't seen an aftermarket one that looks good yet.
Gfx, no gfx?Has to have gfx
Hood? be unique-same criteria as with the paint color.

one things for sure though, and this may be the mystery of why we love our cars so much, they're never boring! we may spend restless nights trying to decide on wheels, hoods, high-rise or not, color... but we never get into the mood where we don't care about 'em anymore.
i love third gens! (although i don't know if i love 'em enough to get it on with 'em. ok, i do! ;-) )
